'Clean & Restore' my old love and hate 'Rick Owens' suede high sneakers - VETIVER

Hello, today I prepared a special asmr video.
I had a pair of Rick Owens high-top sneakers that were too worn out to throw away,
so I decided to restore them with a 3d printer.
These shoes were one of my favorite shoes, but the midsole was so broken that I couldn’t wear them.
So I tried to restore them by making a new midsole with a 3d printer.
I couldn’t find the midsole used for Rick Owens in Korea easily, so I needed a 3d printer.
After some trial and error, I succeeded in restoring them.
The restoration cost was a whopping 5 times the shoe price...!
But I’m so happy that I can wear my favorite sneakers again!

We all are feeling the same thing. It is a very depressing time to be alive. But I can offer you some advice if you want to take it. Relax somewhere peaceful, and start to list all of the good things that you have in your life. Really think about it. Truly good things. Lost as many as you can. Pause and think about more and ones that are related to other good things. When you think you are about done, then start thinking and listing all of the bad things that you have in your life. See how many bad things you have, and compare the size of the list of each. I want you to conclude which list is bigger.

Listen to “I was sad last night I’m okay now” by Tobi lou when you get down and blast it, always brightens me up. But yah as a young guy what helps me is reminding myself we’re all in the same boat, some are just better at hiding it than others. I also listen to a lot of podcast and always throw one on when I get in my head since it drowns out my thoughts

As someone aspiring to become a shoe cobbler as a hobby in the future, it amazes me how VeTiVeR manages to find solutions to restorations that I never would have even considered. That 3D printed midsole was such a cool idea. Bravo, you’ve outdone yourself yet again 🙇🏻♂️

Amazing!! This video brought back childhood memories of my dad. He would always take his shoes to a shoemaker and have them repaired. For a small kid, his shop was a wonderland.

BRUH we can 3d print pieces like that foe shoes now???? That's so awesome that's gonna be SUCH a big step for shoe customizers and restorers so they don't gotta sacrifice other shoes by taking their soles anymore, this restoration turned out so great! :D

in most (if not all) cases it’s literally cheaper to buy new shoe. even in this case repair was just cool ASMR because if you read the description he stated that repair was 5x cost of the shoe. If you want new or even repair your beloved pair it’s cheaper to buy used or even new pair and just replace midsole, toe box and sole, you’d also repair it with OG Rick’s parts which is important for some people
The Legend tells that the Leather used for those shoes was Unicorn!👌🏻

I knew I wasn’t crazy. Didn’t know this was your personal pair, but I knew I had seen a previous video of yours with the same pair prior. Really cool to see a pair come back around after so long regardless of the circumstances. This was a next level restoration. Side note: I would love to know what black shoes you had on during the segment with your initial attempt at recreating the sole.
