ty - engines are like a box of chocolate. Never know till you pop it open. A $60 engine ended up having ported heads and new oversized stock pistons. Should be perfect to rebuild with forged pg parts. @@Fredholm2

Cool bro! looks really good inside! I'm have an EA827 1800 on my "Santana 1995", very similar, but i changed for a "Multi Injection" intake manifold + Speeduino ECU! I luv that engine, hope can finish all eletric wiring and try it soon! (It's like a 2j around here in Brazil, haha! ppl really love them! 1000hp and more, is almost common!) Greetings bro, waiting 2 see the second part! 🙏

That looks like the AP (Alta Performance) engine that Brazilian engineers From Volkswagen resigned in the year 1984, it very popular here in sudamérica it's found I cars like the Volkswagen gol and ford escort in here.

Great video ! i have the same engine in my golf mark 2 and looking to change my exhaust manifold. is it posible to do so without removing the carburetor above it?

Where did you buy the intermediate shaft bearings?

What's the manual you are using? I have this same engine in my old Audi 100 C3 and it would be very much appreciated to have it.

This is a 1.6 engine. The same engine block as 1.8 but a different crank and rods/pistons and so on😊 the engine code on this is EZ

Hey! Yes it's a 1.6, engine code is EV. I bought some for a local company in Norway, (folkevogn.no) and the rest from Autodoc 😊
