@@hotcars I'm actually more interested in the Montero Sport from 97 to about 2003. Do you know the reliability of them compared to Isuzu Rodeo or Pathfinders? I like your model as well but the sport is quite a bit cheaper and easier to find in Philadelphia. My all-time favorite classic SUV is the second generation Isuzu Rodeo but they have transmission issues sometimes. I'm wondering how the Mitsubishi line holds up against Isuzu in terms of reliability especially Transmissions. And of course I'm also wondering how well they do off-roading

But how much lift was it really? He stated he had a bed system and a bigger spare does affect that.

The only blatantly obvious thing you did wrong, was leaving that axle hanging down pulling on that rear center brake hose. Keep an eye on each end for seepage.

Where did you get that tow hitch; can’t find any comparable ones online and yours seems to provide more structure to the frame in case of a rear end collision!

Are those 16" toyota spare wheels? You mention the previous owner had to machine them to fit. What did he have to machine? I'm curious because I'm about to put the same wheels on my 95 5spd manual. Wasn't aware there is any machining to do. Or did it just need wheel spacers?

You forgot to disconnect your left rear brake line......you can see the poor rubber line stretched out to the max, ready to "pop goes the weasel" at any moment. That line is supporting almost all the weight of the axle. I almost made the same mistake.
