I have a 2007 e60 M5, have not driven it in over a year now, it shut off while I was driving it and I shipped it to a shop and they tell me it needs an engine, so I am bringing it back home and put it in my garage for who knows how long, I miss it and hope to get it running sometime again. great job on your repairs.

Nathan can't wait for part three. Good to see these small nagging repairs properly addressed. Like I said, this car will make its owner happy when its all said and done.

Lots of headache for 500hp. I can see the appeal of LS. Even though it will never sound as glorious as this. Keep your resonators people lol. Eisenmann race exhaust for the win 🙌🤙👍

Nathan, I want to try the ngk ruthenium plugs in my X5. I actually put them in my wife’s Jeep Wrangler with Bosch coils and they are absolutely phenomenal. These are super new and no one really uses these. Very cool you are putting these in the M5.

tire pressure sensor in valve stem gave me incorrect warnings; I "exercised" it by boosting pressure to 38, then down to 25, then 38, then 25, etc. for a few more times and sensor "recuperated"

I’d say trust me on this completely but I’m only 85% sure, after posting multiple times on my e63 m6 and buying A new level sensor my readings basically stayed the same. Frozen at .7 (if your search you’ll find my tread) It seems as if the system doesn’t always recognize small drops or small fill ups , this is what I was hearing from multiple sources as well as my own tests. After replacing in it read .2, after filling it up it went back to .7 and stayed there again, tried to fill to the top but it wouldn’t correct . After that I believe I dumped a total of half a quart and it went up to 1.2.

N62 valve covers are the worst because of the eccentric shaft sensor being on the firewall side of the valve cover. Sil-glyde is good for assembling rubber components. Also, Hylomar blue is good for sticking gaskets to the parts when assembling.

Lube. I should have known better. The amount of times I have those plenums off I should have thought about putting lube on them to ease re-installation. Good stuff!

I laughed so hard when you said “all N52 guys would say what”’ … Yes! I did exactly say that!! Lol.. N52 is the worst valve cover to install…

It’s always something else, even when you’re “done”, right? :) Really enjoying this content. A few months ago I removed over the intake plenums from my E63 M6 to replaced injectors, throttle actuators, and the starter. The worst part of it all was actually removing the plenums. It didn’t appear they had ever been off (105,000 miles) and the seals were stuck on the throttle bodies. Took a crazy amount of wrestling to unstick them. Anyway, great work as always. We’re you able to find a replacement rear wheel? And is the leak you are tracking now the same one you previously thought was a power steering line?

I hear you on parts rip off’s. FCP Euro is a huge rip off. Paying double or more for the off chance that the part fails again and you get it for free. 20+ years of BMW and Mercedes ownership and I’ve never replaced a part twice. I get the same brands that FCP has from any number of other vendors.
