Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos kzread.infoUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
People may write different comments, but i think you picked a trash and turn that into a treasure. Thanks for sharing your hard work.

Agreed
Greasy stains can be removed by putting chalk powder on top, cover that with a sheet of brown wrapping paper. Heat it with an iron. The grease will melt and the chalk and paper will absorbe it. The last bits of greasy stuff can be removed with mineral spirits and a rag.

Very nice! I like that you let some of its history (ie, damage) shine through. You didn’t hide all the stains. More authentic in my book. More lovable.
Great job!there is something very satisfying about resurrecting old and neglected wooden furniture

I agree he did a good job. When I find old stuff like this, I just smash it up and burn it. But it shows what can be done if you are clever. I'm on the spectrum though and I enjoy busting the crap out of shit.
Amazing what people will throw away. One's junk, an other's treasure!!
I don't even know where to begin. You turned complete cr@p into a beautiful, functional piece of furniture. You showed the entire process. I learned so much about quality details, veneer, removing stains, patching...I don't know how this came recommended to me, but I'm incredibly glad I saw it. I have some furniture that I'm now going to take a second look at! Thank you for posting!
My word what a fab job. Would never have believed they would turn out so good. Well done.

This is the kind of work my Dad loved to do. Taking something that others see as junk and turn it in to a masterpiece! You are indeed miracle worker! Great job!
I am a lover of old things & have rescued many a “throw away” people discarded, and restored them into glorious pieces again. It’s wonderful to see others doing the same.
Hard work and elbow grease, what a thing of beauty!
You have such fast hands! :) That dresser is sooooo happy that you found it.
You did a fantastic job; the chest looks beautiful and how good to know all that wood didn't end up in landfill.
News paper works really well ,for removing water spots . Nice job ,looks great .
This is much nicer that slapping a load of chalk paint on it and then distressing it.

SO many [mostly women] use the chalk paint on the old furniture. but i bet it's because they don't really know how to restore wood. or they want to do it fast. :/ it's nice to see some folks restore furniture to look like new, like back when it was made.

While I agree, I'd much rather people do the chalk thing than tossing and rebuying things all the time.

@@sapphirecamui6447 I have a old drop leaf desk that my parents bought in the later 1940's, its ok piece of furniture, it got beat up while my older brothers had it in the bedroom, but Mom had the inside redone , but not the outside. I was thinking of chalk paint and doing it in black, since it sits in a white hall way

Excellent find and top job on the upcycle.
Gorgeous.
Nice Job saved from the landfill.I love it.
Very nice job! It great that you were able to restore it and save it from the landfill.
You should have just used a shirt to protect the wood from the iron. Then, two chores done at once!

Hi Keith just watched your chest of drawers find and restoration, its a very good vidio, especialy for young people who do not have much money and are just starting out in married life,it very good to see what you achieved with hardly any tools, and the chest of drawers turned out really well, and they are a really useful piece of furniture, once again good show.
Wonderful job
Glad you kept it as one set of drawers - looks really good. SO nice to see furniture recycled rather than dumped.

Wow......nice job!
Beautiful job!!
I’m just about to renovate an old bureau so I checked this to look for some tips: great and cheers for that. Made me smile when I saw your old Erbauer (?) drill and you were still pushing a pen: you’ve come a long way with your Hikoki toolkit, kitted-out workshop and a full-time maker now. Well done mate: good on ya
Very inspiring!
Well done!!
I really like your videos. Thank you.
Nice it look brand new
Nicely done, and nicely shown. Thanks. I had never heard of a cabinet scraper before and now I want to get one. What a great tool! I used the iron trick years ago to remove white water rings from plants kept on a drop leaf table I inherited from my grandmother. Presto!
TALENTED DUDE GREAT JOB .....CHEERS.
Outstanding.,Well done....

Very impressive! I’ve started doing this to my old oak kitchen cabinets and so far it looks amazing.
Just re-oiled all my old finds, and they really do look like real gems.
Great job.
Thank you for not painting over the finish but restoring the veneer finish. Looks beautiful!!:

Very nice, great work.
Very nice job.
Great job. Love how you renovated it without damaging the original design. Love those handles.
I got a 6 drawer a couple of months ago and before I got a chance to sand and finish the wife had all 5 drawers filled. She doesn't care what it looks like as long as it is solid.

Chem Cody You can lift small gouged damage on all sorts of wood by using a dab of water and heat from the tip of a hot iron. More success if you've stripped off paint or finish first, but as was shown, it can be done with a finish that needs to have stains out.
Very informative video-- well done.
What a great job. The chest looks absolutely amazing.
It is deeply satisfying to Watch this. And it gives me a new look on all that scrap furniture that is Standing in the street
I love boiled linseed oil. It brings out the grain beautifully when you first apply it and I am fond of the smell as well.
Before watching this I would ever have attempted refinishing a veneered piece (It would have been sanding, priming, paint & done.) I am amazed how wonderful this finish looks. Good on you!
Cool great job
I know how to patch an antique dresser of mine thanks to your video showing a sawdust and wood glue mixture! Thank you so much!
Well done.
It's always nice to have a handyman around.
Awhhh.... Great job!! I was drooling av excitement to see the resault! Love this kind of projects!!
Good job!!
I love some stains adds character to the finish making it look like its telling a story over its past
