whats up bro! Chances are they are X-MAXX owners and have already went through 2-3 ESCs, ahaha. And each ESC costs more than the whole brand new Dynamite .28 motor. I'd be angry too! Plus they can NEVER EVER yell 2-speed baby!!. So sad.

I just picked up a mint LST for $150. Guy used it once or twice years ago and it just sat since. Thing fired right up. Everything works and is like new. For what I paid, no complaints! Losi for life. Have an ond Losi LX-T, the LST, a DBXL and 4 others.

It's come to the point where i hit like before watching the video cause we all know its going to be 🔥🔥🔥

whats up homie!! The LOSI is finally running at it's peak, it's been a long path to get here, mostly because I ran into so many issues along the way. But the owner is happy and I'm glad to be moving onto another Nitro for repairs and restoration. BTW the next segment of videos will be about a very rare and old Gas redcat model.

Love the video my dad has a lst2 that is all stock besides the engine and the servos. It is clean and has been ran like 20 times in its 20 years

Yesss love it! Man a rich 2 stroke engine is a healthy one! Especially when dealing with Nitro fuel! May have some extra cleaning to do after long time storage but running rich ensures full lubrication during operation! No way could you damage one of these engines running too rich.. You're actually preserving them! Keep running Rich and Loud and F those hater comments brother! PS: Did you really put that in your will? That's badasssss

Lol my friend had an HPI rs4 back in the day. I watched him pull it out of a box after about 4 years and start it up and go with literally nothing but fuel and an air filter

hey bro! Thanks man! Yes, I got this LST running great, all the linkages work well and I've done my best to keep as close to Original STOCK as possible (other than the motor). This is yet again another example of "you can't kill a nitro".

What traxxas models does the .28 dynamite drop in a direct swap? If not west parts do I need to make them fit?

hey dude! All traxxas nitros are designed to run only small block motors. IF you want to run any engine .21 and up you will need the traxxas big block conversion kit (about 50 bucks). The only motor that will fit directly will be the OS 21TM motor.

So losi nitro monster truck may have to be a new purchase

hey my man! Thanks for watching, if you ever find a good deal on a used LOSI LST, you should get it! Other than the engine swap this one is fully stock, and it still performs terrific. Unfortunately I forgot to demonstrate the High and low gear range in this video. I'll cover it in another video.

What kinda temps are you getting with the byron's 20-16%? My tmaxx runs much cooler with bones brew 30-8% then it did on a 20-16% mind you it was Traxxas 20-16% so that was probably part of it lol plus them power gains on the 30% made me go from 6 to midnight in a snap lol

I bought a chassis losi lst with the Mach427 with great compression is the truck worth rebuilding??

hey dude! I just recently got the Losi LST XXL and am doing testing. the XXL is a terrific truck and better than the savage 4.6. If you were looking for the savage XL it would be a fair comparison . The XXL is beyond Sickening bro and faster than the regular LST in this video. Main issue will be parts for you, the savage line is still being sold while you will have to hunt down parts for the LOSI.

Hey man I have question about nitro engine. So I found a 10 year old nitro rc I always wanted in new condition the engine has never seen fuel. Should I have any concerns about rust in the engine? Or do they have enough assembly lube that it should be fine it might just need a cleaning before starting?

How can you damage an engine running too much oil And what car were you running around the track with it looks like you couldn’t keep up with it even with the two speed baby

hey man! finally I'm glad somebody is asking these questions, BTW, I hope you noticed I did not include much music in this video. That was for you! Anyway, the theory is that Running TOO rich will cause excessive pressure buildup in the engine due to unburned oil and it could result in too much compression and will break a rod. In my experience this is non-sense because when you're running that rich, generally you won't even be able to keep the engine running, it would be way richer than my tune is. But that's the theory. That other nitro was a Kyosho 1/8 on-road with a 2-speed. Pretty fast car to begin with, so ye, it's much faster than a huge and heavy monster truck, you know.

hybrid32494 I always notice the music at the beginning of the video which is ok because it’s part of the intro My theory is that it won’t happen because that doesn’t happen to a real car unless the one cylinder is no longer igniting then it would fill up with oil

hey man! To be honest with you, neither did I. This was the filter the car's original motor came with so I just re-used it. Personally I like the simple traxxas filters. They are cheap and fit on everything.

@@hybrid32494 I run Traxxas filters on all my 1/8 buggies. Compact, dual stage, and they were designed so that the elbow acts as a venturi. what's not to love.

hey man! The true answer is yes. But the reality of tuning an engine to run that rich is close to zero, at that point the engine just won't run well and it would be fairly obvious. IT would most likely just shut off due to al the unburned oil in the system. I know many people think you can actually "RUN" too rich, but reality is, it's a task that isn't realistically easy to do in order to achieve actual engine damage.

It takes skill to run nitro ..... no skills to plug and play with electric...... NITRO IS 👑

good question bro! So far we should be grateful that HPI is back in the nitro scene, although they are only selling old outgoing models from 2016 and a tiny fraction of them, it's still something. Looks like the modern LAME LOSI is only selling boring 1/8 buggies, which I don't care about at all. IN fact only Traxxas is currently selling nitro monster trucks, so there's that.

@@hybrid32494 that’s cool HPI is back bro, I didn’t know that. I just heard that they sold awhile back. I got my old HPI RS4 3 out and going to restore it with a new motor and some aluminum eye candy. I’ve noticed on eBay that there are some new HPI T3.0 engines and going to buy one for my car.
