Restored 1999 Walt Disney World VHS Home Movie Tape: Visiting Three Park's in One Day
Video Recorded on Friday 15th October 1999
Step back in time with our Restored 1999 Walt Disney World VHS Home Movie Tape as we relive the magic of visiting three iconic Disney parks in one unforgettable day! This VHS restoration captures the nostalgia and excitement of a family adventure through Disney's Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and the then-named Disney MGM Studios. Join us as we revisit some of the classic attractions and experiences that defined the Disney magic of the late '90s.
Our journey begins as we travel to Disney's Animal Kingdom, the newest park at the time. We start with a ride on the tram to the entrance, feeling the anticipation build as we step into the lush and wild landscapes. After a fun breakfast at the Rainforest Café, we marvel at the iconic Tree of Life and explore the prehistoric-themed DinoLand U.S.A. The highlight is the thrilling Countdown to Extinction ride, experiencing its original version before it was renamed to Dinosaur. We also take an adventurous safari on the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction, enjoying the original storyline featuring Big Red and Little Red.
Next, our adventure continues at EPCOT, where we explore the innovative and futuristic pavilions. We experience the high-speed thrills of the original Test Track. The sights and sounds of EPCOT offer a perfect blend of discovery and excitement.
The final leg of our journey takes us to Disney MGM Studios, stepping into the world of movies and entertainment. We embark on a nostalgic journey through classic scenes from Hollywood's greatest films on The Great Movie Ride. The adrenaline-pumping Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith provides an exhilarating experience. We enjoy a live performance of the beloved TV show Doug at the Doug Live Stage Show and take a behind-the-scenes tour of movie-making magic on the Studio Backlot Tour.
Join us as we relive the magic of this extraordinary day, exploring the unique attractions and shows that made 1999 a special year at Walt Disney World. This restored VHS home movie is a treasure trove of memories, showcasing the charm and excitement of Disney's Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney MGM Studios.

@@DisneyDave Anytime Dave!
This Marks the end of the golden years of Epcot
Thanks for sharing the park hopping! 2 "evasive maneuvers" in one morning:) Awesome pov of Rock 'n' Roller coaster and a rare glimpse of Doug Live!
Also seeing the 2000 on the Epcot ball was incredible back then and so cool to see it again in your video 💛
I'm amazed how good the video looks for VHS recorded in 1999! You must have taken very good care of the tapes until they were digitised - it almost looks like a modern HD camera recording!

@Tomsonic41 most of my tapes are still on their original Super 8MM cassette so they are slightly better quality than if they had been transferred to a standard VHS
This brought back all the nostalgia for me. We were there in 1999 for our honeymoon and I have talked about the Irish dancers at Epcot for years 💛 It was incredible seeing it all again. Thank you for posting 💛

@@heyyalldolls sorry to hear this wasn't when you were there 😔 also, I forgot to mention early when you said about the Irish dancers, for some reason they really stuck with me from this trip as well, But they were pretty incredible and that's why
YAY! More early rock n roller coaster footage!
The radio station playing that post-grunge at the start is so very 1999

Matchbox Twenty - Back 2 Good 👍
We were there in 1999. My wife was pregnant and I remember us sitting at Coronado Springs thinking up names. So our son was named in WDW! We are so lucky to have had multiple trips since. In fact we are there this September with my son who is now 24. Thanks for the nostalgia ❤️

It was the best 👍
It's sad to see how much better condition Dinosaur used to be in compared to now. Disney doesn't seem to be keeping up with maintenance on some of the older rides.

@Tom_Morrow1994 it is sad, especially when Disney used to take great care and were always maintaining attractions to keep them in peak condition
I wish I went to WDW in 1999 with the Traveling Gnomes!
I'm so sad we're losing Dinosaur to Indiana. Dont get me wrong, Indiana is a great ride, but Dinosaur was unique.

It is sad but hopefully the Indiana Jones ride will make a welcome change, Ive never been to Disneyland, but watched many videos on the Indy ride there

Still at Disney World though!
In the Safari ride when it got to the part with the poachers, was that a real truck making that little turn in the back or was that like an animatronic truck?

@MoiveGuy24 sorry, to tell the truth I cant really remember
Vhs tapes more free whiching in your house now days than Disney plus now days vhs tapes always more greater than the new now days
The use of AI to enhance this video kinda ruined it. I’d rather watch it in all its grainy 1999 glory. Also ❤ for TGMR 😭😭😭

Totally understand, you can’t beat that original retro vibe 👌

I agree with this, it completely garbles and distorts details that otherwise would have been fine in a non-AI transfer. Especially since a lot of these attractions are gone now, it's kinda sad that historic footage of them has a janky filter overlaid on it.
