@@NomadicPhoton They will accept students from all over the world, however, students must be able to commit to paying for their own housing and attend a full time schedule, have the ability to speak fluent english, and possibly sign a contractual obligation to work for a small number of years or pay tuition out of pocket. The industry is now leaning toward offering 1 year approx courses instead of the traditional 2 year course.

@@mr.personal-ity I'm Canadian. Very well, I shall certainly look into it. Unfortunately there isn't really a domestic school of watchmaking anymore.

@@NomadicPhoton Well, depending on where you live in Canada, there is a SAWTA program school located in Seattle, Washington, called Watch Technology institute within North Seattle College. The program is subsidized by Rolex.

I could watch this for hours.

These videos are very satisfying to watch. But I always can’t help but think how fragile mechanical watches are and I wonder if these restored watches keep good time.

as a hobbyist who restore vintage watches, this is a fake video. Please DO NOT submerge the dial like that. Only the new watches can MAYBE handle such abuse. Old veneer will just get whipped away. You will just have a blank dial doing this

Are you world #1 at watch restoration? If not, you must admit that there are people who can do it better than you. Try to be humble, learn from it instead of bashing new techniques. Maybe then you can improve.

Man, I knew this was fake since I saw the missing crown and water still inside. I mean, crown is sealed and that's how it keep eater out. But if it's missing, water can flow in AND OUT.

This is not a restoration. They start with a new watch and then make a mess of it, everything is basically in reverse. The dial especially comes out too perfectly and look how that muck washes off so quickly, and not a stain ! Same for the date dial. The dirt simply washes off too easily. It looks too perfect a restoration because it isn't one.

It’s just water, it would’ve messed it up if it were anything else

Sorry, I just don't believe it's all the same parts... you can remove rust but some marks caused by rust you just can't. Result is so pristine and I don't believe it.

Generally the only liquid you use to clean a dial is water, anything else can damage it.
