In this exciting video, I'll show you how I restored an antique pepper mill I found in my grandmother's garage. The mill was very old and covered with a layer of dust, rust and patina, but I was fascinated by its potential beauty and historical value. During the restoration, I dismantled the mill and cleaned it of rust with a solution of citric acid, hydrogen peroxide and salt. I then blackened the steel pieces with linseed oil and polished each piece to give it a new sheen. While working on the mill, my grandmother told me that she brought it from France when she was young and that it had always been her favorite kitchen utensil. This information inspired me even more to restore the mill to its original state and preserve it for future generations. After the restoration is completed, the windmill looks like new, and I am proud to have brought it back to life. This video not only shows the process of restoring an old pepper mill, but also highlights the importance of preserving heritage and history.
