Emilia Waldmann better to be alive and live in a glass box(and also live much longer and HEALTHIER than they would if they were in the wild), than to go extinct living outside that glass box. Try thinking with your head and not your dang emotions. All you bleeding heart types are so painfully irrational and cringey... *not one ounce of logical thinking.* And that’s bs about animals in captivity living shorter lives. *In the wild, there are way more threats that kill them; sickness, natural predators and injuries, just to name a few.* I’m all for leaving nature alone, but if a species’ existence is at risk, then we should most definitely step in and do something. For a group of people who’re so uncontrollably emotional about animals, one would think you guys would be on board with attempts to PRESERVE a species. The irony.

Either you exaggerate cases of animals being held in poor conditions, think that’s the same case with every sanctuary, or you just pulled that nonsense out your arse. I’ll bet on the latter. Also like how you disregarded the going extinct part. You do know these red pandas are endangered, yes? How does this endangered animal, in its glass box, survive longer if released in the wild? Not all animals can be bred successfully in captivity and their innate behavioral patterns that normally allow survival in the wild can be irredeemably altered. It is not clear whether this facility is implementing such programs or simply taking animals from the wild for the amusement of human spectators, which would have a negative effect on wild populations. Judging by the interactions depicted here, I would suspect the latter.

For anyone complaining: How cruel they shouldn't be confined to this closed space *check other videos on this channels.* It had enough evidence that there are multiple open, much larger enclosures for them to go out to. *and when given the option to go out or stay in, most of the pandas prefer the indoor because the zoo is in Hokkaido and it is cold outside.* If you're going to get all holier than thou for no reason, at least take the efforts to make sure that your complaint is actually legit. Note: For anyone arguing "then they shouldn't be in a zoo to begin with", they are endangered animals and are regularly poached in their native habitat. Would you prefer seeing them being turned into someone's scarfs than in zoos, where they are part of breeding programs that actually help increase the animals' numbers?
