RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TWO MAN: CQB PRINCIPLES

This video covers very basic principles that drive the movement of the “2 man”, ie the second man into the room. Whether you are doing POD, Strongwall, Limited Pen, etc., the second man’s job is to go the opposite of the man in front of him (Left/Right) and to be tight on the entry so that the time lag between coverage is low (Distance = Time).
There’s of course infinitely more detail and nuance that could be covered here, but it’s a short video for KZread. You may have seen something different or have more to add: feel free! Comment below.

Know what is missing in all these types of videos? An approach to the building. If a building has open fields of fire, getting to the door is basically step 50 of your work. You still need to get to the door. How would you approach a building when you're squad size, maybe dealing with folks waiting for you? Would love to see this.

This is missing from every video I've found on yt. Haven't gone over this since I was in the service and I've been looking for a refresher. From memory, we moved from a wedge usually into a diamond into the stack. Also haven't found much on the diamond on yt either.

Immediately return fire in direction of received, retreat behind cover. This scenario is a last ditch type of situation, it’s a very bad situation to be in with only two guys.

you finally/barely brought the most important point up at around the 5 minute mark... the reason movement is made deliberately, efficiently, and aggressively as a two man, is, to put their front plates in the line of fire of their buddies back plates as fast as they possibly can. probably should have started with that.

Then we aught to hope that the good guys train more often and more vigorously than the bad guys. Either way the good guys aren’t losing their advantage, none of this stuff is hard to find, paid for or otherwise. I believe every citizen should know these techniques, they also should be allowed to carry anywhere. Could you imagine how safe the world could be if every good natured person carried and was proficient in these things? That’s the goal for much of this free content.
