That's because this seems to use RE2 as a base, which is good.

Absolutely fantastic, it's awesome knowing the devs for Resident Evil in the 90's would be would be so damn proud if they knew what fans like yourself would do to keep the gameplay/systems they worked on still and improve on it to this day, CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THIS!!! SUBBED!!

Yeah it’s really quite impressive how much effort he put into this.

The effort inverted on this is magnificent!! I know to make the full game would take so much time, lots of work and dedication specially working on specific details to make the players feel like they are actually playing Resident Evil 4 ps1 version, however this first ten minutes deserve a standing ovation , great job!!!!

Wow, looks exactly what a 90’s RE4 most likely would look like. I love the pre-rendered backgrounds and 3D models. Good work!

Gives off super creepy vibes in the classic ps1 style, would love to see it fully fleshed out, with the original sounds/music & all!

This is so cool. It will never cease to amaze me that apparently it’s entirely possible for fans to just make their own entries in these series’ that are, in some ways, no less valid than official entries

As a fan who's followed Resident Evil from the 1 game, this is fantastic! I'd purchase this in a heartbeat. You should be very proud. The only feedback I have is the sound but seeing what you've done already I'm sure that'll be a cakewalk. Well done!

This looks legit! A few ideas: See if you can make the knife usable like in Deadly Silence where it's always on you and is just a button press away. Also see if it's possible to add in the 360 turn and manual reloading. Other than that, i really love the loom of the enemies. They look really scary!

Oh man. I love Deadly Silence. I still have my DS Lite with a EDGE Flashcart. I think that was the best “original” version of RE1.

I’ve been after this sort of thing for a while and don’t understand why it hasn’t been explored properly. It’s a different experience having fixed camera angles and creates a vision than the director wants you to see. REmake was incredible and I only played that a few years ago for the first time. Coincidentally I’ve just finished RE4 for the first time a few days back. It’s definitely a decent game but very different from the older games where those to me had more tension and horror to them.
