my personal opinion: bosses look worse in the remake. I am not talking about graphics quality or texture but about general design (ex: the eyes of the chainsaw man) Also seeing so many tentacles going out as soon as we get to the village takes off all the mystery of the game (for the non initiated)

It is unbelievable how they actually gave the fans what they wanted! Can't believe a company like this exists.

I just finished the old remastered re4 on my steam deck... Amazing. I can play that game for eternity I've played it on every single device it was released on. Now I get to play the remake ok the ps5!

@@themoshpit8341 I tried playing the original on PC but the restricted aim range and camera made it very difficult to play on both the mouse and controller. I think it worked more for the gamecubes right C - Stick with the octagonal edges. The remakes controls and the fluidity of his movement is exceptional. I think it was a smart decision to not allow players to aim or shoot while crouching. That and the lack of prone work towards retaining the arcade feel. It will be interesting to see if the franchise ever adopts full freedom of movement like MGSV or The Last of Us Part 2. I think it could work for RE5 if they remake it. RE5 had some large open areas. Making it more open world with jungle stealth options would make for a very interesting game.

@@dr.clocknik GameCube wasn't as common, so playing it felt special. I remember only a hand full at my high school were talking about it at first. I was a second wave player. Still played when it was exclusive to GameCube, but I had to borrow one from a friend.

I love that they kept the designs mostly the same and still recognizable. They look fantastic in the remake.

All in all I consider the original absolutely superior from a gameplay perspective. The remake is still a very good game but it doesn’t come close Gameplay wise imo, the visual designs are of secondary relevance in my books.

@@FelixS. How does she look worse when she looks similar to her original design? Let me guess, because she's not wearing a skirt anymore? Regardless, this is purely subjective anyway. Just because you prefer her original design doesn't mean everyone else does. Personally, I prefer her design in the remake. If we're talking about gameplay as a whole, I think the remake is better. It's a lot more engaging and the parry mechanic is a great addition. If we're talking about Ashley specifically then I can agree that how she worked in terms of gameplay is better in the original since she stays closer to you. But I'll take remake Ashley any day. She's much better as a character.

I love seeing how far animation and video game graphics has gone; the texture, movements, expressions, and details create more depth to something classic. It makes the creepy look unnervingly haunted.

@@CursedRose200 Well, people are watching games, sure, but someone still has to play them. And playing them is the interesting bit--or at least it's supposed to be. We already have movies, so it sucks that games are losing what makes them unique. If they aren't losing it, they are certainly deemphasizing it quite a bit.

What i find more interesting is the animation comparisons between the old and the new. The Armadura for example used to move more like stiff robots. Now they actually move more like an armor possessed by something.

Ganados animations are almost the same. Especially their reaction when you shoot their face. I

The remake looks even better. I feel like the new art direction and aesthetic is more realized than before. The elements of gothic, folkloric, and body horror are amplified and help convey the lore and backstory of each enemy more effectively. The greater variety of Ganados and Zealots is also a big improvement.

I loved this game so much back then, I played it numerous times and have always praised it. When I found out about the remake, I was very excited. I got it last Saturday, have played for 24 hours already and still have two chapters to go. It’s a masterpiece.

This is what every remake should be. Not some cheap remaster with a resolution boost (that can be done for free on PC lol), but a serious reworking of models, textures, and also of gameplay sequences and even at times story beats where it makes sense due to pacing and stuff. Excellent.

Seeing the models is just crazy of how far they have come. Also holy crap the song goes so well with this.

How similar they are from the original and the remake shows how advanced the graphics already were when RE 4 came out, and just how insane of a job they did with keeping everything to the original.

Damn those infected dogs are quite impressive and lethal looking man, scary stuff. It's crazy to think technology exist like that back then vs today, nostalgic designs versus modernized and remodeled characters/ enemies, crazy cool man.

I will admit.... I never understood why Ada wasn't wearing any thermals and a paper thin dress in that freezing cold weather, she looks way more functional now, rockin' the jumper/dress look. 👍

I feel like they nailed how the infected dogs look like in the original like they look genuinely creepy and in the remake they look goofy asf I think it may be because the red eyes or too much teeth

São detalhes que na epoca nao tinha como melhorar mais porque o jogo é perfeito. Resident Evil 4 Remake esta sensacional e jamais o Resident Evil 4 Original sera esquecido foi o melhor de todos.

Só de ver o wesker bateu uma nostalgia

it's great when experience the game with beautiful new graphics and the bosses are tweaked to make the appearance more scary. Brought the best experience for me, thank you Capcom

More like dead space

I love how when the classics were once so popular, I wanted for someone to remaster them but now I miss the classic games just with the graphics it came with

There's only a few minor details that i don't agree with on a few characters but nothing i can actually complain about it (ig j.j looks a little weird but the models look spectacular. The attention to detail and respect for the original characters is amazing, i like how they fixed leons jacket (it looked oddly short in the original) and ada's new thermal and equipment straps are way more practical then the thin red dress she had before.

En cuanto a residente evil se refiere el 4 me parece el mejor de lejos con respecto a los demás y con el remake revivieron al juego sin duda es un espectáculo volverlo a jugar pero con gráficos actuales 🎉
