"STOPPIT, DONT OPEN THAT DOOR!" Dude, so incredibly Nostalgic. I think of this game at least a few times a year since I first played it (1996 release date). I rented it from Blockbuster and I wasn't even sure it was going to be good. Well it just so happened it was the best random choice I had ever made. I still have my PS2 and RE1-RE4 in case I want to satisfy my old addictions :). Thanks for the video!

Fun fact: The acting is so bad because it was directed by a japanese man who had the actors read it in every possible way until it sounded 'cool' enough, he wasn't trying for realistic.

I still remember first playing this all those years ago when I was about 12. Walking into that dining room with Barry with this sickening feeling that something horrible was about to happen. I don't think I even knew it was a zombie game then. All I knew was that the intro scared the crap out of me and I was having big doubts about whether I was man enough to keep playing. Seems funny now but whenever I play those first 5 mins for just a split second I remember that horrible sense of dread. AND IT'S AWESOME!

I know the feeling!

Well I rendered the video on Sony Vegas before uploading it, changed the colour settings to try and improve the quality a bit but aside from that I didn't do much.

I rendered it on Sony Vegas and changed the definitions.

I remember when I was a kid, whenever I found Barry he made me feel safe that he'd protect Jill (and by extension, me). Looking back and seeing how he acts...I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable trusting him to dress himself properly in the morning.

Lol I’m born on 2003 and I haven’t played any, but I tried playing tomb raider 1 & 2 on an iPhone last 2016. Because of this, the tank controls are pretty much easy for me when I played the remake of RE 1. I wish I could play the classic though. That sound of walking or running is so satisfying. I desperately need to play Resident evil 1 up to code veronica before I die lol ): I wish I could play RE1 on pc

Not at all thanks for watching, yeah I noticed a lot of people just want to learn the story of Resident Evil so I think that they can be helpful, since you can watch them like you are watching a movie.

i remember beating this game within 2 hours to get the gatling gun or rocket launcher. still my fave RE game. ^^

Yeah I like longer walkthroughs, I divided it on areas: the first part is the mansion, the second is the garden and the guardhouse, the third is the return to the mansion and the underground and the last part of the walkthrough is the lab.

Tati N, what you said is very true. Graphics for RE6 were stunning, but the story plot left much to be desired. And Mike I thank you for posting this, RE 1 is a true classic

Let's try to fine "IT" first shall we?. (*Why the emphasis on IT? Is it a monster?*) - Ok, let's separate again - - Justamoment! (*Speaks really fast for no reason*) I found something! - What is it!? - It's a weapon! It's REALLY powerful! Especially against living things! (*All the monsters are living creatures! That's some hint.*) Better take it with you! - But how about you Barry? - I have THIS! It's so obvious that they recorded and wrote this dialog before they even knew what weapon they would give the player at that point and before they even decided that this hall was going to be empty for the whole game.

Yeah the "itchy...tasty" keeper's diary is one of my favorite files from all the Resident Evil games, it shows the evolution of the virus on a person and I think that's pretty amazing.

Your playthroughs are really awesome i watch them so that i can be up to date on the storylines for the games i dont have, or just for fun! and they are really awesome thanks for uploading!~ : D

The first time that I played I couldn't even figure out where to use the keysXD It's been a lot of years but I still remember it well.

That diary you pick up at 29:30 is the creepiest thing ever. I still remember watching my older bro play that part when I was a kid when this game came out... Thanks for going through the whole documents. Brings back some frightening memories haha

Thanks mate I'm glad you think so. Yeah the decoration of the mansion leaves a lot to be desired, even without zombies, hunters and giant snakes I imagine that it wasn't much fun to walk in those corridors at night or day for that matter since a lot of divisions lack windows.

You need two more crests, the moon crest is in the attic where the Yawn Boss is, the star crest is obtained after you complete the picture puzzle at 58:15 you can see, also you won't get the helmet until you reach the guardhouse so you can't obtain it at this point.

Nice to see Resident Evil played through. I enjoyed it thourughly. :D I watched the whole Chris walkthrough, and man did this give me back my memories. I never played through any of the games, but I played until I couldn't get past anymore either because of zombies and other enemies or until I faced tricky situations such as puzzles or locks for example. Many years since last time I played any Resident Evil. Now I've seen through one(Chris). :) Cool story.

If you want to get rid of your fear you always face what scares you. Still a good walk through of a classic game. its nice to see the walkthrough done in a hour and half long video since most videos I found normally show ten minutes of the game

You get one balcony exhibiting a sample of the mansion's surrounding terrain. This STILL conveys the mansion's geographical environment better than the remake. This is still one of my favorite shots of the mansions.

Yes it takes a little practice, the hunter part can be a bit difficult plus since you are very restricted in terms of movement it's hard to dodge sometimes.

Thanks so I'll answer in points as well lol. 1) Yes I did but only on Claire's walkthrough because the files are the same in Leon's walkthrough 2) I haven't made a walkthrough for RE3 yet. 3 ) I haven't but I'm sure you can download them from you tube directly if you want it.

Thanks quality and your story is pretty similar to mine actually, the first time that I played I couldn't even figure out about which keys went where, I was 8 as well.

@1singlemoon2 You know it's funny that you asked me that question right now because I actually just downloaded RE2 and 3 from the PSN store and I'm actually playing them right now so that I upload them later. It's hard to say when you play multiple times each game you memorize a certain path which makes it easier. But I would say that Resident Evil 3 on hard mode is the toughest of all the games for me...

In terms of the environment, soundtrack and difficulty I agree.

These old games had a magic to them. Back then, we were only beginning to discover what we could do and everything looked so new and fancy. We're still making some breakthroughs, but we've come so far that such ideas feel more like waiting in a long line, rather than becoming a great dream that takes ingenuity to achieve.

I can imagine Chris simply throwing his gun at the head of a Cerberus or something, it seems like something that Chris would do.

Yup that really got to me the first time that I played.
