Marshmallow recipe by: @ninnescahhomestead
1 cup water, divided
3 tablespoons grass-fed beef gelatin
1 cup maple syrup OR honey
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp Madagascar bourbon vanilla
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup tapioca starch or arrowroot powder
1. Pour 1/2 cup of water into the bowl of a stand mixer and pour the gelatin on top. Let the gelatin bloom while the honey mixture heats.
2. Add 1/2 cup of water, and honey (or substitute maple syrup) insult to a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil and heat it to 240°F. Use a thermometer to watch the temperature closely. It will quickly reach 200°, but 240° takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Once the honey mixture has reached 240°, turn the stand mixer on low and slowly pour the honey mixture on top. Increase the speed and beat on medium-high until the marshmallow has tripled in size. It will look like a meringue or marshmallow cream. This step takes 7 to 9 minutes. Stir in the vanilla.
4. Prepare a 9-inch pan by layering it with parchment paper. Mix the tapioca and powdered sugar together and pour 2/3 of the mixture into the bottom of the pan.
4. Pour the marshmallow onto the pan and flatten the top with a spatula. Sprinkle the remaining powdered sugar mixture on top.
The marshmallow needs to chill for six hours before slicing, but overnight would be better. Cut the marshmallows into squares with a sharp knife dusted in powdered sugar. Once I cut my marshmallows, I tossed them in the powdered sugar mixture before storing them in an airtight bag. Store them in the fridge and they are best eaten within three days.

We have a Christmas tradition where we start a Christmas puzzle on the first of December and work on it as a family throughout the month, we’ve been ill this year so it’s still not complete yet but it will get there xx
Dear Margaret, I am mom of twins and live in Poland. I feel so common with your everyday living. Your videos helps me feel my life is good and real. Thank you! Bests xxx
Dear Margaret, thanks so much for an inspiring vlog... as a mom to 6 young kids I appreciate simple living content for families as well!🙏✨️
I use a utensil drawer insert organizer thing for tea. I take the packets out of the boxes and then but them in the rows of the organizer. It makes this lovely little file system! I think i got mine at target for five dollars
Love Earthley. Use a lot of their products and that goodnight lotion saved my pregnancy too. Now, my kids and I use it
I was missing your videos already. This was so needed and it took me right back to reality as a family of 6. I am also full of gray hair, but embracing it for now. Thank you for sharing your raw and real life 🙏
I purchased the mudita alarm clock from your videos and it was a defective one, but their customer service is phenomenal and the exchange was easy and my new one will arrive today! Also I love how calm and simple you are and my very anxious self, a mama of 2 boys 3 and under and a social worker... needs to channel your energy! So thank you!
Our biggest challenge with tea storage: we have both bagged tea and loose leaf. We store the loose tea in small mason jars (jelly jars) and the bagged tea boxes are stacked in the tea cabinet. Bagged teas that are individually wrapped get removed from the box and put in a basket all together. …And I had to add my encouragement to keep the grey! My hair is a little darker than yours with about as much grey, and I love it. My daughter says it looks like tinsel.
Love how you showed us the messy cabinet, loved the hello from your babe with the cereal box and I want one of your margaritas in April 🤍
I really can relate to this video. I am so over everything.
I have two metal cans for my tea, I bought some really pretty ones, so it sits on the counter next to the kettle. I used to have several different teas but realized I only drink one or two so I gave away the cans I didn’t need. I store most of the tea in the freezer so it doesn’t go bad and fill the pretty cans up as I need more. The freezer trick was something I learned when I lived in Asia and bought several kilos with me from home. The tea shop told me it is the best way to store tea! So declutter your teas and put the favourites in pretty small boxes, cans or something (one for each tea & they need to be air tight) maybe from a thrift store, and have them on the counter or in the cupboard next to tea cups or the kettle. If you have tea you want but don’t drink often, then put the whole paket in the freezer and put your favourite one (or two) on display. Simple, practical & lovely ❤️ The way minimalism should be 👌
You don’t need to worry about gray hair you are beautiful!! ❤️
I just had my second baby. During pregnancy I got my first gray hairs.... Like a lot (very stressful pregnancy and postpartum). I kind of like my grays and I'm glad someone else does❤️❣️
We've been loving the magnesium lotion, too!! I plan on embracing my grey hair :) My grandma let her hair change naturally, and it was a lovely silvery white. I always thought she looked so beautiful 🤍 I always enjoy your content :) Thanks for the marshmallow recipe!
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words for this time of year in regard to the home keeping part. Sometimes it feels so futile and a balance between the mental health benefits of a serene space and the mental health benefits of shutting out the mess of blocks and puzzle pieces and clutter when the kids are exploring. Wishing you and your family well
Love this! I love a good reset. For tea in bags, I really like my Tea Stand organizer
I really feel this. We have been sick for over a month and everywhere in the home becomes a mess and so much work has to be done. Im still sick but trying to decrease some of the damage 😅 its complete chaos

I made marshmallows today too! So fun 😊 love how you share your life Margaret 🤍🕊
I got rid of my bedside table. I just have a simple stool where I have a bedside lamp, the book I'm reading and hand lotion. It can't hold anything more and I don't need anything else
Thank you for this honest Sharing of your cluttered spaces.
Loved this video! Thanks for sharing the realness of mama good. ❤❤
Love your videos! I ordered a wooden tea chest from Amazon to organize my teas and its been great! I got one with a clear lid and it has compartments to keep everything neat. 💗
Ah, Chutes and Ladders, my all time favorite game 60 years ago! It's a classic.
i saw a clear organizer for tea when i was shopping at bed bath and beyond! i almost got it myself
Just the right inspiration I needed today! Thanku
Thank you for your videos-very inspiring! Could you do another list of books you are reading?❤

Good to see you! I have begun the new year reset and it feels wonderful!!! My only thing is that I miss the Christmas lights so much- so I am going to put some on our entertainment center in the living room for some ambiance. I also have ordered the koze night lightbulbs and already have the day ones. That should help!

Also... I am older than you, but I am embracing my grays! I'm looking forward to them coming in as they do and taking on the natural. I have blonde hair and used to get highlights, but I had a reaction last time and decided that I'm done.
Where did you get those benches with drawers for toy storage? 😮
Love your videos!!! What is the exact measurements for the marshmallows? I looked on the gelatin website but didn’t find the recipe there. Thank you!
Hi! Loved the video, very inspiring! I actually saw a different video that helped me organize me teas: a tea drawer in your kitchen, one of the drawers that you pull out. It actually is really good because you can see all of the teas :) Hope this helps!
I’m 33 and I think I’m gonna keep my grey hairs too 😃 And yes, so tired of screen time!
Do you know Cas from Clutterbug? She has a recommended tee box. Plus, I think you could say an owl is an animal 🙂
Please share the recipe for the healthy snack!!!! 😊
Where did you buy your red light glasses/what brand are they?
Haven't finished the video yet, but in case you didn't post I'd like to see your family rules. 😁

Me too !❤
I keep my tea in a kitchen dresser drawer (two actually) as then I can see the boxes easily - as can my guests to choose which ones they like. I also have a tea box for the teabags, but that only works if they’re individually wrapped with packets so you can read what they are. Also can you please share or send me the marshmallow recipe as mine were a total fail when I tried. X
Can you please link your red light glasses?
Cleaning at home, cleaning yourself!
Sorry if I missed it but where is the foot soak bucket and sprinkles for marshmallows from? 😊
