I agree that TNR is the best option, but even if well-fed, cats will still hunt and kill. Hopefully, they are going to town on the mice and rat populations. My well-fed cat in Guatemala has brought me birds (including a hummingbird), a snake, a huge fruit bat, a baby possum, huge rats, and lizards. I have been able to rescue most of the birds and the snake.

To be honest those that argue cats are bad for the eco system seem to forget humans are even worse by a longshot! I mean the argument that cats are soooo bad for an eco system is such a moot point.

....Cats are the number one invasive species in the world and are the number one threat to endangered birds worldwide. We has humans have a duty to try and control that impact if we can. Arguing that because humans are bad we shouldnt try and fix another ALSO human caused issue is completely insane

@@lughd5578It depends on what your solution for fixing the problem is. TNR is humane and finite; and of course cats don't come remotely close to the threat to anything that humans are. There are articles demonstrating that the supposed threat to wildlife from sterilized cats is a fallacy except possibly in Australia and New Zealand.
