Darth Destructus it’s like my dog. He is a dog but he acts like a cat He stretches like a cat every morning, he makes this weird meowing noise, he uses his paw to grab things XD The only reason I’m not convinced he is a cat is because I’m allergic to cats and I’m able to pet him without dying.

Haha, as a child, I used to think a fox was the baby of a cat and a dog 🤭

I used to play cricket, and one of our members had a fox as a pet about 20 years ago. The vixen had been killed and he found one cub alive in the den, so he raised it. Foxy attended matches regularly and was an utter delight, being intelligent and playful. Eventually, when he was sure he would cope, he released Foxy into the wild and saw him around from time to time. Then one day, he opened his front door to find Foxy lying just outside, clearly dying. He'd been poisoned and had managed to get back to the person he hoped could help him. Sadly, it did not work out that way, and the vet could not save him. Why do we hunt and kill these intelligent, charming animals?

@@Jasmine-hp8bm Actually they are not really. Some categorize them as dogs, but they are not related to wolves. Foxes are their own species. They basically fill spaces in nature which have neither dog- nor cat-related predators. That's why their behavior is so unique.

A live fox given all the meat they could want makes a better scarf than a dead one.

She was not lucky to have been born on a fur farm, but she was very lucky to find such a good mom to take care of her, she looked really happy and full of joy!

That is marvelous that there are such people who save wild animals! I think nature will always be grateful that kind and considerate people exist

Years ago, during my years as a wildlife rehabber, I raised an orphaned fox from about age 4 weeks. He was brilliant and I loved having him around. About a month after had had moved from indoors to an outdoor enclosure with a waterproof den and got eggs to learn to open, he watched me using the latch enough times to figure it out and he "self-released". It was joyous to see him head straight for the creek, knowing he'd find what he needed with perhaps occasional visits back home.

So glad she's still wearing her own fur!

Same with cats and meowing. Feral cats generally stop doing it after they grow up from kittenhood because there's no need anymore. They're not calling to mom. With humans, cats found out that meowing gets our attention. So they meow.

Sadly, they are an introduced pest here. It's illegal to have them as a pet and it's illegal to "rescue" them like this. Here, foxes are kill-on-sight. It's not so much a "love to kill" thing, but rather they are killing off so many native species that we have to kill them.

Dingos arrived via the landbridge when Australia was still part of the supercontinent, and they still decimated the natural ecosystem. It's not just humans that mess stuff up. Also, careful labeling others with mental disorders from a few paragraphs of comments left on videos.

Whoever disliked this deserves to be locked down forever. The best people help animals.

Wolves, coyotes, and foxes are the most misunderstood canines on the planet. They have been demonized and slandered when in reality they aren’t the monsters we’ve made them out to be. Their presence is vitally important to the ecosystems in which they live! This education is sorely lacking especially in the USA 🇺🇸. Some people can't seem to comprehend that animals don't operate on human moral terms, they act on the instincts that suit their ecological role. Predators can't have empathy for their prey, or they wouldn't be able to do their 'job' in nature. But there are some people who literally think carnivores are just 'evil' for the lols or something. It reminds me of some crazy medieval thing where they put an actual pig on trial for injuring someone. They tried a pig as if it was a human, in all seriousness. If I remember correctly they might have even hanged it after. Totally mental, but yeah wolves and coyotes and foxes are badass adorable wilderness doggos and I love them! After all, we keep cats, and they slaughter small innocent creatures all the time, even when they're not hungry (and so do dogs, to a lesser extent/depending on breed), but we still love them, because we understand it's just the way they're 'wired', rather than the unnecessary malice displayed by many humans. (Some animals do kinda just seem like crazy assholes though...I'm staying far, far away from chimps and dolphins regardless of the reasons behind their frequent terribleness)

I disagree. The fox is not a domestic animal even if it was born in captivity. It took the Russians generations to domesticate the foxes they were working on. This fox is friendly and tame because it has been raised by humans from birth. That is not the same as domestication. The fact that this fox cannot be released into the wild is very sad. This is NOT a dog or a cat. It belongs and prefers to be in the wild. This little one can't so at least he got a life instead of being killed for fur. But he would have been much happier in the wild regardless of looking happy in videos. It is far from the happiest fox on earth. It is still a wild animal that got cheated out of a normal life. Hats off to these people for raising him because it is nowhere near as easy as raising a dog or cat.

@@nssquared9174 If you google it, what you are describing is impossible. Foxes and dogs can't breed and have hybrid pups because they have different amounts of chromosomes. They aren't closely related. Dogs and Wolves and Coyotes can successfully breed with each other but not with foxes. The fox was not the father!

I don't give a fuck about humans. They CAN fight back somehow - animals not. Also - humans WANT the war and the slaughter, they can continue killing their own race, but it's utterly disgusting to abuse animals because of that urge.

They're also innocent and don't know whats going on, but I've never seen or heard of someone who skinned, cooked or ate a child alive - it's a different kind of abuse, a more cruel one! They do animal experiments, ever heard of child experiments? Of course child abuse is disgusting too, but how some humans treat animals is the top of sickness. I am not sure if this ever happened to children, and I really hope not - but from what I've seen so far, I believe there are even people who do that to children and/or other humans too. Humans are disgusting and on the lowest level of humanity ever. Btw does my logic still sucks for you? If yes: Idgaf and go fuck yourself with a cactus.

God - it’s like she knows she was saved from a fate worse than death - and then death. She seems so grateful for every moment of freedom and sunshine. She’s so happy, so cute, so sweet. What a lovable creature!!

She's adorable! What a playful, loving spirit.

She's simply adorable. I love foxes. I'm glad she got a second chance and she's happy. Humans won't leave many wild animals alive by the end of the 21st century.

When I was a kid, we lived on a farm. My dad found 4 "kittens" in the barn. The farmer was going to drown them in a bucket, so my dad bought the "kittens" home with him. My mum said they aren't kittens! The barn had been emptied of hay so we couldn't put them back. We found a resume centre for foxes in the new forest that had room for 2 of them, the other two went bought up. Absolutely loved them. The local farmers hated the fact that we would walk them on leads around the place!

Intelligent Ape yeah my uncle is a farmer. He hates them and would kill them. But it's to protect his livestock. So it's understandable in that way. But I'd still want a pet fox

Intelligent Ape I'm from the city but my family makes sure to buy our food from the right places. I know how food work s and.i respect the animals that die of rour meals. I'm more forgiving when it comes to herding animals for food than fur or coats. Using animals for food is natural other animals do it all the time. But no animal wears another animal. It's kind of messed up

We don't have fox in my country, so farmers here feels very strange when they see a fox, they told me it's a dog. They never saw a fox before. Vietnam

Scott Page2001 Wearing animal fur is part of out evolution as a species. Nowadays of course its pretty pointless and barbaric and I imagine our neanderthal ancestors probably had a bit more respect for the animal than the modern fur industry does.
