Most likely the first days they are nervous/scared ect, so can't express their happiness yet Its so cute when they cheer up

The shine on the black dogs' coat shows that he is loved and pampered. Abby is going to be just fine with this family☺️

We adopted a standard poodle puppy who we didn’t know had parvovirus at the time. A couple of days after adopting him we noticed he was seeming lethargic and that’s when we got a call from the rescue that the other puppies in his litter had tested positive for parvo. It was scary and hard and even though one of his brothers didn’t make it we were able to nurse him through it. He’s a happy and healthy four year old pupper now. We fed him chicken stock every 2-4 hours (it’s the dehydration and weakness from not eating that gets them) and several times a day we gave him soft scrambled eggs and homemade yogurt. Anything bland and full of protein. But the chicken stock was the most important bc it kept him hydrated and provided some nutrition. He’s doing great now. A totally neurotic but loving boy puppy. I just adore him.

That's really lucky, because lots of pups don't make it. He must be really strong and a fighter!! So glad he's still with you and it turned out well! Great dog momming!!!

I'm getting over norovirus myself and it's the same: dehydration, lack of any food but also of protein. At least I have done my growing and had all my shots, and was healthy to begin with.

Slade seems like a very young dog too - it looks like once Abby adjusted to his very large size & enthusiasm, they could have wonderful times playing + getting into mischief together!

There’s something about watching dogs play that warms my heart 😭 could watch it all day!!

Omigosh the mom in that family... They’re all angels but isn’t the mom the most beautiful person inside and out?! What an angel. ♥️

There is a MISSING descriptive word before 'Rescue Puppy' ; it is the word HANDSOME! I would have loved to have this handsome little bundle of joy and ascertain that he was NEVER left alone.

The foster carer did a great job in raising Abby to be confident and adaptable. I was a little worried at first as to how she would get on with Slade who is large and dominant, but Abby seemed to manage the situation quite well. She's a really sweet dog.

I've watched a lot of Dodo videos but I think Abby is the happiest one to get adopted yet, I love how she put her head upon their shoulders like a hug.

Abby did take special notice of the children when she first arrived, even though she was wary and uncertain. Puppies relate to children. What a perfect family for adorable Abby.

The only thing what is sad with our pets is that they don't live long enough... The most precious thing is their unconditional love and trust they give us... Specially shelter dogs or rescues are the greatest gift in a humans life 🐾💝🐾💝🐾

She's gorgeous, and the kids are adorable and so good with her! I loved watching Abby go from being a little timid - someone else's turf, after all - to rolling around in a big happy pile of kids and dogs!

Totally agreed what the mom said: I feel like my family’s complete. That’s exactly how I felt when we adopted our first dog. Happy for them!

Like any breed , gotta watch the breeding , I have two black lab boys out of chocolate parents ,and they need lots of excersize, a firm hand , and training to keep to keep them from boredom. Inbreeding is the cause of most behavior problems in my opinion.

She was probably adopted from the North Shore Animal League on Long Island NY. Volunteers drive to Southern states to pick up cats and dogs from the shelters.

Even thou a dog has a loving home, it is good that it has another dog for 'dog companionship'. It was great to see children helping to foster the 🐶🐶. This will help to instill in young children to be kind to animals.
