As a football fan, I can’t express how much I love Katie McCabe. Excellent win at the beautiful Aviva Stadium for the Lionesses. Leah Williamson as captain was phenomenal, she hasn’t missed a beat. There really isn’t anyone in word football like her. Hampton was really solid in goal, made a couple of phenomenal saves. Those last 25 minutes, my heart was in my mouth. Ireland were relentless but we defended brilliantly. As a Liverpool fan I know the how dangerous Campbell’s long throws are. Back to back games against France next for the Lionesses. Speaking of that great to hear Liverpool’s club captain Niamh Fahey on comms, her and Seb Hutchinson were great. England’s record under Serena now stands at P49 W39 D6 L4 GS 181 GC 28 WR 79.59% 🏆🏆🥈-🏆🏆🦁

Katie McCabe is too aggressive when she wants to get the ball, and sometimes she can make silly tackles which gets her a yellow card in the WSL, I’m surprised she hasn’t got a red but has got the most yellow cards. This match she was at least calm.

I can’t believe this was Rach Daly’s last game. I wish we knew sooner, she’s such a star and deserved a proper farewell. I personally think it’s too soon, she won the golden boot last season and didn’t get to play her fave position. When she does, she delivers bangers. But wishing her all the best. We’ll miss seeing you on the pitch for lionesses superstar RD3 ❤🤍

Lauren James is such an engine in the midfield. She is a great player.

Gutted that Daly is retiring 😢

They will need to find so improvement with putting the tactics into practise and be more alert when they meet France.

It was a far from convincing victory but they got the points. There could have been more goals from both sides but poor technique and slowness of thought to see the opportunity affected both sides. One you can improve the second you either have or you don't as it's not something that can be coached.

I think the team played well in the first half, but in the second half they didn't react and were even outplayed by their opponents, I think they still have a long way to go

The Irish creamy lady's wasn't a pushover & next to lionesses. When spotkicked is won, its should share.. I was expecting L.J or Mine own special Thisbe should have taken the second penalty advantage in... Well, i/we look forward to see another superlative performance from the lionesses in may next month up against another stubborn French lady's side in Wembley Stadium..

I still can’t understand why we had a defender taking penalties? Appreciate she scored the first one, but with Strikers on the pitch, surely they should be taking them? Scoring goals is what they do??? 🤷‍♂️

Georgia Stanway , Chloe Kelly and Rachel Daly , 3 of our penalty takers, were subs and not on the pitch yet. Beth England was not on the team sheet. Alex Greenwood is one of our first 5 and left footed. Penalties are different from scoring in regular play.

@@TheFootyCoach351 because like the other person said we have three penalty takers, Stanway, Kelly and Daly and neither of them were on the pitch at the time so Greenwood takes them if they aren’t playing because she is one of the first five penalty takers
