    Outstanding, I only have processed in PS thus far, just watching you work in Pixinsight is inspiring. I must say, working in PS for the last 3 months is a good prerequisite to understand and appreciate what can be done in Pixinsight.

    I recently procseed my M31 like 4 times and each time I went a different direction and learned more each time. This is a great video.

    Again, very interesting video. Right now my processing is less guided by decisions than by lack of knowledge but I see your point. Hoping to get some good data to start processing taking real decisions.

    I always advise people always to keep their raw data...a certain amount of reprocessing is instigated by increases in your knowledge. When you learn a new technique you always find opportunities to improve on previous work.

    It's relatively easy to make pretty (astro) pictures, what's impressive with your videos is what I can best describe as context -- as in is the target near or far, what are the currently best understood physics phenomena going on, and so forth. Your processing journeys are always paved with scientific stones, justifications to the choices you make which to me are insightful.

    I like your comment on how you can get a general sense of how close a galaxy is simply based on how much detail is resolved in an amateur photo. However, that sub-arcsecond resolution is quite impressive.

    Great video! I've started reprocessing old data during the several weeks of rain we've had recently. I'm amazed how new techniques I've learned from folks like yourself have allowed me to make significant improvements to data I already had. I have an off-topic question if you don't mind? I've been trying to find some way to quantify the advantage of a larger scope over a smaller one for astrophotography. All else being equal (for example RASA 8 vs. RASA 11 where both are f/2 taking same length exposures on the same target with the same camera) how do I quantify the advantage of the 11 over the 8? I realize the 11 has better resolution (0.41 arc-sec/pixel for the 11 vs. 0.57 arc-sec/pixel for the 8) but I don't know if that's it, or if there is anything else? And if that is it, how much of a difference does it take to matter? I've heard all sorts of things like "bigger is always better" and "aperture always wins" but those sound more like bumper stickers than actual information. I've spent quite a big of time comparing images from 8" and 11" telescopes on Astrobin and I have to say some of the best images I see come from 8" scopes. No doubt it could be all sorts of reasons beyond just the size of the aperture, including that 8" telescopes are just more common so there are more data points. Any thoughts?
