I see the gap problems. nice tips on the fix. The Horton is a great display with this one. I do have a XB-49 unbuilt, that would make a great huge trio. You do great work. Thanks for the Repost.

Thanks Ed! I have the prop version, the YB-35. But, the decals are shot. Been wanting to get the XB-49. Just haven't searched hard for one!

This was a great looking build, nice job taking care of all the seam gaps! The landing gear bay lighting adds a real dramatic look to it.

WOW, usually 1:72 planes are pretty small, that must be one huge plane 1:1. Really excellent!! Lovin these blasts from the past, keep em coming!!!

I know this is a repost, but the outer flight controls are actually called rudders. They are split into upper and lower surfaces and spread apart or close left and right to affect yaw. Or act as brakes if left and right are opened at the same time.

Not criticizing your build, Kenny, but a note to future modelers, since I worked on this aircraft: I had this model once, but I never built it, because the details and fit were so crappy, I decided it wasn’t worth the time spent making it right. The Block 10 aircraft had the black edges (rain erosion coating). Very few had the black edges, and were soon updated to Block 20 and 30 with gray edges. There are no high or low surface details on the real aircraft. Should be supremely smooth. The grooves and ridges on the model are probably higher and deeper than many of the details on the full scale aircraft. So, all of the raised lines should be shaved smooth and the grooves filled. The paint edges for contrasting colors would be out of scale. The rear nose gear door (clamshell) opens down and to the right. When open it is more or less straight down. The leading edge has raised bumps between each segment on the model, which are Block 10 only. On the Block 20 and later, these are blended. Only a close eye on the real aircraft in-person would notice the segments. The exhaust decks between the exhaust openings and the rear deck edges are titanium. So they wouldn’t be black, even after use, but you might see some carbon streaking from engine exhaust. The wingtip lights are pop up, so they wouldn’t be domes. They would have a diamond shaped cap on top, so when they are not deployed they would be flush and when they are deployed they would be cylindrical with a diamond cap in gray. The lighting of the wheel wells is whimsy, of course. The only lights would be the landing lights on the struts. The deep ducts on the inlets will be gloss white. I don’t know why the data port decals would be so bright silver. They should be a dull titanium. Again, just trying to help future modelers. Not knocking your work.
