In this video I'll show you how easy it is to elevate your morning routine with just a few simple tweaks and additions to a simple bacon and poached egg breakfast.
Whether you're looking to impress your guests, or simply want to up your plating game, it only takes a small amount of extra effort to create a breakfast that looks and tastes amazing.
In this video we start with a few components for a basic breakfast, then blister the tomatoes, add a different spread on the toast and ultimately plate it all a little more thoughtfully. It's amazing what a difference these small changes can make to the over all look of the plate!

Would love to see how you would put together a Full “English” Breakfast! My version is certainly delicious and hearty …but - at best - lookslike an overfilled plate. lol

I found that with todays eggs, it can help if the watery part of the white is strained -out through a tea strainer so that all of the white floating bits are eliminated, and a nicely-formed egg is served up.

Yes, you can do that which would make for a more perfect looking presentation 😉
Have you ever thought of baking your streaky bacon? It's just about the only way I do it in the winter months or chilly mornings - it's summer where I am at, USA. The bacon is evenly cooked throughout and can be cooked to desired crispness.

Yes, that's how we cooked it in bulk at the hotel. We'd layer it on tin foil and roll it up (like a sausage to store in the fridge). Then we'd take out a roll, unroll it (still on the foil) onto the baking tray and pop it in the oven. It's definitely a great way to do it...slightly tricker to video, but maybe we should do it in the future!
