    Awesome, gonna do that for my door. My house is 52 y ears old. The tracks are worn, did not even know there's such a thing as a cap for it. Thank you for your time in putting the 3 parts together. I am printing stills so I can quick refer to this when I do the job. Again great job on the videos.

    Thank you so much for this video. Finally got my 50 year old 9' sliding door rollers fixed. We've tried before without success, wrong rollers didn't know which one to buy and didn't know how to fix it. Got it done and it slides like new. I found the rollers at our local home depot.

    Great video. Hadn't thought about how the roller adjustment could be affecting the alignment of the door lock to the outside frame, nor did I realize that the tracks could actually be replaced. Your down to earth style and willingness to show your missteps will be extremely helpful to anyone who is attempting the same type of repair. Thanks!

Thanks for the great video. Also glad to see someone actually FIX something in this age of throw-away goods...

    Thank you. I’m renewing an old house that also has these old style aluminum sliding glass doors and was trying to figure out how to get the rollers out. Your video gave me the answer and confidence to tackle the job. As well as a parts source since I didn’t see anything that match the rollers in HD. Thank you again!

    Hello DIYFellow. Thank you from Wrightsville Georgia , late June 2019. This is one of the very best top videos I have seen put together on any repair job. You didn't miss covering any part of the job and you were very explanatory , with excellent detail in explaining the small stuff. I have an older sliding door and I had to force it shut last winter . The wasp nests have covered the opening cavity (outside) of this second floor balcony sliding glass door. So I'm waiting until winter to do my repair. I cant reach the outside of this balcony door for repair , except by opening it from the inside. I noticed that a narrow felt strip was hanging from the top of my sliding door on the exposed end , inside the house. So , Ive got to research that as well. What a superb presentation job you did. I also would like to thank you for not cursing or using other offense words , during your video. It was appropriate for my wife and children to view and learn from as well. Your a great guy. Thanks again...........

    Really Great job. It looks like a lot of work but absolutely worth it with the pinky open. I have the white doors so it’ll probably be a lot easier to replace but it was interesting to see that you can put a new track runner on the bottom which can often be a big problem but she wants to change that whole track. Nice work thanks

    Good video. I too appreciate you showing your "oops!" It shows us what to watch out for. One question though ... when you put the "cover" over the track it will obviously RAISE the door a bit. Will there ever be the chance that the clearance will not allow for that extra track cover? THANKS!

  • @diyfellow1627

    @diyfellow1627

    6 жыл бұрын

    How you doing Paul? Thanks for the comment! Once you put the cover on the track it will not raise the door that much. The track cover is pretty thin. Remember that the rollers always could be adjusted to go up or down. So if by any chance the doors are to high simply adjust both rollers with the set screw to desired height and you will be good to go. Hope this helped!

    Good video. I am going to a job for a client this morning and watched your video first! I think I am now more prepared for the job now. Thanks. And you helped us by explaining your mistake. Mistakes are normal. A pointer from someone with speech and theater, training experience, Save a lot of time by not having to say all the time "what we are going to do now is go ahead and....." for many steps. It';s okay to just say, "Next, we adjust....", or "Now, I will remove the...." See the difference? It is more concise. More professional.
