Those no spill funnels are a godsend on a Subaru, I use mine every time I mess with the coolant now and haven't had any issues with having to burp the system afterwards. Amazing

Thanks so much for covering this! There are other videos on YT dealing with this but yours had the most detail. I did this on my 03 WRX recently thinking an injector might be causing misfires as replacing the coil packs and plugs didn't work. Unfortunately replacing the injectors did not fix my misfire, but getting rid of the GBOD's will greatly aid in future work in those areas.

@@calebschmidt2869 Unfortunately I still have the misfire. I have some other sensors (cam, cranshaft position) to try which I don't think will do anything. After that I'll do a compression test. The car has 228k on it so it won't be shocking if it's an internal issue.

@@desirelines9 mine runs fine then when I slamm on the gas it misfires I'm thinking maybe it's my 02 sensor on the header Bc it's not working an I just did the spark plugs an coils packs along w compression test everything passed so maybe it's the 02 sensor ? Idk need help w someone's opinion

@@calebschmidt2869 I also did the forward O2 sensor (air/fuel monitoring) already, but that made no change to the misfire issue. The misfire codes I get are too generic to pinpoint where it is. I've also heard to check ground wires, fuel pressure regulator/pump, etc.., My guess is compression but I need to test it to be sure. It's my only car so I'm still driving it around while I look for a new vehicle. It's struggles here and there but it still gets me where I need to go. It still boosts fine as well though I'm not mashing the gas pedal down. Good luck finding out what it is!

Picked up injectors and all new seals for my '98 Legacy GT from Rock Auto. I know it's not the exact same engine, NA 2.5 H4 in my car. But still. Awesome WRX and Saturn's are really nice little cars, great for a daily.

I feel your pain. I had the exact same experience with mine. I left both brackets off and used a longer hose in place of the attached hard line. My TPS connector broke too so I bought an extension that fits the connector and just plug the individual wires on it. Luckily they stay connected. Right now I’m having misfires and I can’t drive it. It’s bad enough that I’m losing power and barely able to drive. There’s always something........ :(

I've got a 2004 wrx wagon with 241k miles on it that is leaking fuel into the oil. I am going to inspect the injectors, so thanks for the video! Hoping it's something simple, maybe just needing a cleaning. It's been burning oil like crazy the past year or two, so I was quite surprised to find the oil level higher than I left it when I checked today...it's always been lower in the past. :) Smells like fuel in the oil.

When I did my jdm refresh I "deleted" the Ugg green brackets and ran some gates breather hose in place of the oem and attached metal hose. Bypassed that garb and saved some weight cause race car

If you're using 12 point sockets, they will always strip 6 point bolts that are torqued kind of heavy, or havent been moved in a while.

@@ej_was_here no worries! Iv'e stripped many a bolt learning the hard way. Good luck! It was awesome seeing your face progressively get more and more dirty as you worked on the car. Happens to me all of the time, still dont wear gloves haha.

The gearwrench grabs the nut or bolt from the flat side as do sockets with more than six sides those hex sided and open-end wrenches grab the bolt or nut on the corners and if they're old and worn then the corners cant hang as well as the flat side so then go with one of those types tools, not hexagonal socket or an open-end wrenches which are more for speed not torque. That injector job took a lot of guts.
