I changed out ONLY the rubber part for my Mazda CX5 windshield wipers. Got it at the dealership so it’s a perfect fit. It was $12.49 a piece. Huge savings vs. replacing the whole part. Make sure you still have your OEM wipers intact.

Ironically this turned into quite a chore on my wife's 2015 CX-9 on Saturday (hers has the old type with a flat blade adapter). Normally a 30 second operation turned into me re-engineering her passenger side to make it work between the old mounting system and the new attachments that came with the blade. A veritable nightmare that absolutely should not have been so difficult. I'm almost positive I'd changed the blades once before, but the old blades had some kind of cockamamie proprietary adapter to fit a hook-and-loop base that I sure don't remember putting on. I'm guessing she had them done elsewhere that upcharged her for the privilege while doing an oil change during unseasonable weather, when it's hard to get under the car on a sloped driveway.

@@KillobyteInteresting mini update, the missus wanted both blades to be new, so I ended up just putting Bosch on both sides the other day, which did have an adapter to work with the factory mount. Less than a minute for two of those, go figure!

Thanks. I have to change the blades on my 2016 Miata. Any idea if wiper blades are rhd lhd specific?

Not sure. Just checked on my 2019 lhd Miata the left one is 18" and the right is 19". It also uses a different adapter :(

Those blades are so expensive. I saw that I can get Trico blades cheaper but have to wait a week for delivery.
