Thank you for making our job a dream.Changed the very rusted unit in record time with your very complete video seminar. Used Mopar bolts and hardware as recommended by a friend whom has used the aftermarket stuff and regretted it.

Thanks for the video. I have a 98 3.9L and I believe the foremost stud on the passenger stud is broken. Will get around to checking it out soon. I like how you took the time to double-check the torque of the studs/nuts. Too many guys get in a hurry to be done. Good job!

Thanks for the video. My Ram 1500 with 4.7 engine and 5 speed manual transmission failed the safety because the left rear manifold was leaking. I managed to get 6 of the 8 bolts out. The last two I burned the heads of the bolts off. The heads had rusted away and I could not get anything on them to turn them. Just a quarter turn and you can back the bolts out by hand. I replaced all of the bolts. Thanks for the information, I was really worried before I saw this video.

Thank you for the video, it looks like I'll give it a try. Just one question: My gasket came with the note to apply high temperature anti-seize lubricant to the bolt and stud threads. Did you do that, too?

I'm planning on replacing the right side exhaust manifold and have been advised by a Dodge mechanic of many years to use factory bolts. I got them from the dealer. The manifold is aftermarket. Dealer says no gasket needed,in fact they don't carry any. I'm going to use one since the manifold is aftermarket. Haven't started yet...wish me luck.

There's no other way to remove them without breaking them. I used those type of "pins" shown. I've seen similar type of rivets at advanceautoparts, but I do not know if a special tool is needed to insert them as with the metal rivets

I have an exhaust leak just like this one same side looks like same truck, great truck never gives me any real problems. Manual 5 speed [automatics often have problems in and around 120k], My 99 dakota 4x4 v8, had the leak since I bought it last year and is more then just an annoying sound as this leak is costing me about 100km a tank of fuel, due to the O2 sensors detecting too much oxygen in the exhaust, and therefore tells the engine's computer to add more fuel to compensate to the programmed CO2 levels it is looking for. If this fix does not fully improve my gas milage then the O2 sensors need replacing too, especially if you have a code reader that tells you this. they are an extra 150 buck investment and should get OEM ones. I was going to get this job professionally done and did include a regrinding of the maybe warped manifold to the tune of 150.oo to 750.oo [worse case] As I couldn't bare the thought of drilling out broken studs in such a cramped space, but this video has changed my mind for sure. Thanks a lot for this well done video!
