Do not get grease between the boot and axle defeats the purpose and could spin the boot. Also remove air between the boot and axle with small flat head before clamping. :)

Same as my Subaru axles. Except it's easier to just bring mine to Napa and have em warrantied when the boot goes, but I'm willing to bet your atv axle is stronger 😁

Easier to put in a vice tilt cup and hit the inner part of CV with a big punch and ball end hammer while turning the axle if it's stubborn and then your able to catch the end your hitting off the axle vs it smashing off the floor.

I'm building a proper modding garage at home, could you do a video about what sort of equipment you need to mod a sled? links to products would help (like what rivets to use, the dealer attached the strengthening on the tunnel on my sled in a recall with rivets that popped out). I'm tired of not having the tools at hand so I'm building a list and getting everything I need. Even what welder and material would do to weld aluminium (my M chassis sled needs reinforcing to use the solid motor mounts I plan to use, and I need to mod the engine crank case to attach proper mounts). What grade of aluminium you use, etc. Everything you can think of that you've been using at some point all these years. Maybe there's a series of videos in that with some potential for some sponsors (international sponsors if possible). PS: Big snowmobile performance thing I found, solid motor mounts, night and day over the snopro mounts (which are supposedly hard rubber mounts, but with a completely solid mount it feels like 10 extra horses are getting to the ground). Only problem is I imagine most chassis needs some reinforcement to handle completely solid mounts (aluminium weakens over time with just a tiny amount of flexing).

Very good video. The only reason I said anything last time is because it took me hours to find someone who knew how to remove a axle from a arctic cat mudpro. I love informational videos, this is one reason I am subscribed to you. You really make great videos. Please don't think what I said was against what you said, I was just trying to help the next person the same as you. Believe me I cussed that axle for over an hour until I found information. Then it came out in 2 seconds. Lol

mark Minyard, don't you know you just didn't have your tongue hanging out the right way, I use to think it was the cussing that helped till my dad said that it only works right with the correct tongue action , Like she says do it right and all will be given up.. how does the axle come out on a mud pro

Stacy Reid the mudpro or arctic cat's with a white axle has positive locking axles,so they can't pop out. Really what everyone should use in my opinion. You have a pin in the center of the axle that keeps the inside circle clip from clasping in releasing the axle. To remove, you hold the axle straight, push in on the axle which releases the inside circle clip, then you grab ahold of the inboard and slide out while keeping in word pressure for the pin. No jerking, slides out easily. Arctic cat did that because of the angle, to prevent the inboard joint from ever accidentally popping out with the great angles.

Stacy Reid on the slip joint side there is a large circle clip that can be removed to release the entire knuckle in most cases, don't know what the deal is with this one.

mark Minyard that's kinda of the way the rear is on the CanAm Commander it's a flat style spring lock while fronts have a round style spring lock. These are fairly easy taken out, if you see and or remember their in there. Lol

I spent half an hour finding what the fuck clecos were called again, watching old powermodz tunnel install videos to find out and then five seconds after I found them on ebay he mentioned them in this video "Polaris IQR 800 Mountain Mod Build Series Ep #2 Van Amburg Tunnel Install!". We really need a series on modsled tools. Clecos are an excellent example, there's bags of used ones on ebay for pennies.

So, my boot busted and there is a clicking coming from those bearings (balls lol). Could that just be some debris lofting around in the joint? Just trying to prepare myself for the worst ha

Demons broke already? Are you 100% sure it’s from a stick? I just broke my right rear axle for the second time when not even riding very hard and we’re pretty much 100% sure it’s because of the 2” lift, so I ordered 2 new demon HD’s, but now I’m getting paranoid, I’m already tight on money, I can’t afford to blow another axle (2013 renegade 1000 xxc 2” high lifter lift 29.5 tires”
