It’s a really easy job, unless you are scared of heights save the money and do it next time. We couldn’t justify driving to a service center and paying someone to do it. You got this 💪🏼 lol

Lol the list feels like it’s never ending doesn’t it. Seals are something that is often forgotten, the whole out of sight out of mind. Good luck 👍🏼

Mine has a canopy over the top of the slide. How do I address that to replace the seal?

Although our Van doesn’t have slides- we have always been scared of what can go wrong with them.. We do have to use a similar maintenance to do this to our camper van windows on the roof, side vent holes etc.. Great video- love the “putting icing on the cake” comparison.

Yes, even with no slides there is still a lot of maintenance that goes in the seals, windows, and vents. Thanks for watching!

My old seal did not have a screw at either ending holding the seal to the rail. Is it absolutely necessary to put a screw at each end? Wouldn't the caulk that I'm going to apply hold it in place? Great video!

The screw adds another layer of protection to hold it in place.

@@LonghaulLifesavers Thanks, again. I just replaced the seal today. The hardest part was removing the old caulk. Can't believe my RV is only two years old and I needed to replace the top seal above the slide. Again, thanks for an awesome video!!
