Where did you buy the digitizer and LCD from? Is it genuine or aftermarket? Cus I’m thinking of repairing one of my old iPod touches

Man I remember restoring one of those, new battery, new digitizer and LCD, and the most infuriating thing was to make sure there was no dust under the screen =p I too had to reopen it just to remove a few specks from underneath.

Tanner you have to tell me your secret on how to pry off the touch screen digitizer. I've replaced a number of ipod touch 2nd generation screens and the most infuriating part is when i bend up the housing, crack the screen and destroy the rubber seal trying to get into the device.

honestly i dont know how i do it. i broke so many lcds and shredded the rubber on the digitizer so many times before getting a feel for it. i still mess it up sometimes though. those things are frustrating, sorry i cant be more helpful,😅
