Joe videos and Ron videos are both fantastic. I enjoy all of them . I appreciate Joe’s sense of humor and Ron’s technical skills . Always makes me happy to see a new video no matter who made it .

It's been pretty cool to see Joe getting more and more comfortable making videos.
You got to love when a customer is honest with ya. "Its Broke!"
To access the original pac man: insert a coin or enter the main game select screen. Press up, up, up, down, down, down, left, right, left. You should hear an extra lives chime letting you know that the code worked. To access fast ms/pac or fast shoot galaga: insert a coin or enter the main game select menu. At the screen enter the following: left, right, left, right, up, up, up and then press the fire button.
Being a game repair man myself, I like videos from both of you guys.
There is no preference here, whether the video is by Joe or Ron, it is always a great video. 😎
That cabinet looks very clean. It looks great. Holy buckets!!!! Only 332 plays!?! That is why it looks so good. Other than functionality, it is mint condition. Thank you for sharing your efforts on repairing this wonderful machine.

It's probably less than that, since that's a coin counter and not a play counter. If it was set for a dollar, then that counter would increase by 4 for each play.
@VulpisFoxfire
2 күн бұрын
@@tw3nz0r On the flip side, it's also set for free play, so it's likely it's been used a lot more times than there were coins put into it. But still, it is in near-mint condition, other thant the things Ron fixed.
There is an Easter Egg on these machines. When attract mode for Galaga is going, wait until the attract mode is demonstrating how a ship can be stolen, then press fire multiple times to shoot the enemy trying to take the Galaga ship, then for a little bit you can play Galaga for free until the machine resets.

This is the only arcade cab I've wanted since I first played one in 2001 in a restaurant in Athens, GA.I was born in 1981, these two games have always been my favorite, and in 2001, I was playing this in college. To me, this machine is perfect.

Sell as much stuff you don't need, some vintage stuff people might want, start a savings account and build it up gradually, look for local listings of the machine, they might be cheaper.
Your videos are great Joe! I'm always amazed at how you can fix these so quickly. You and your brother compliment each other so well, and you both bring your unique personalities to each video, which always makes them great to watch. You're not chopped liver! You're the highest quality gourmet liver! :D
Getting a little sassy at the end there, Joe! Lucky simple repair on that one. Thanks for the vid.
We love both of you, Joe.
There's also a speed up/slow down code, so you can play the opposite of what it is set. So in this case, if you wanted to play fast pac-man, you'd put in the code, left, right, left, right, up, up, up, fire. If you like normal pac-man and it is set to fast, you can play normal by putting in the code.
This cab is simply astounding, true surviver...

It's entertaining and fun if it's a Joe video OR a Ron video
I think I've seen this specific cabinet online. It came from an arcade collector who had a bunch of arcades. He was selling them off, and this was one of them. Btw I enjoy both of your guys videos both of you guys make my day better. Also up up up down down down left right left right left I also know left right left right up up up fire button

Update: No... it's not the same one, this one was manufactured in March 2002, the one I was thinking about was manufactured in October 2001, but the conditions and even the original parts are both in great shape so I got tricked
I wish most pinball repairs were as easy as this fix seemed to be. Still, great skills to get this arcade game back and running great. The customer is gonna love having it back working. Maybe it’ll do more than 300 games in the next 20 years!
I walk 4 miles every night and I listen to you & Joe. Not into music. You both have good conversation. I rebuild games also so I don’t need to see to follow along. Thanks guys.

You forgot about Donnie, he's been in a few videos and his fun channel on KZread. You make us happy every time I hear "It's Broke" and of course I love them sexy waxing playfield times lol
I'd have put a zip-tie around the connector ends to hold them together. I have done that before and is a surefire way to make sure that kind of thing can't happen. Love those kinds of faults. Always makes you the hero for an easy job.
Great simple fix! Lol No you are not chopped liver. You are just fine Man I like both of You! You are both fun! Keep up the great work guys I look forwards to the next one. I think it is cool you show how to fix both. It lets people learn how these things work and how to chase down problems.
Far from my favorite, but you're not wrong! Picked up a Class of 81 almost this good last week!

For the record, my coin counter is at 2278, was supposedly bought by the sellers dad in 2002, and I have the same two $1 coin graphics. The massive burn in on mine is only there because they would leave it on 24/7 at home.
I like Ron's videos because he always shows us how to clean the score motors. When are you going to show us the score motor in a Ms Pac-Man, Joe? ;-) Seriously, I like both of your videos, and how you guys don't take KZread too seriously. Come on, people!
Very sweet machine. Hard to find them like that anymore.
Thanks Joe! Catch you on Friday!
I'm more used to seeing Ms Pacman in the cocktail table version than normal arcade cabinet.
I've wondered how your name was chosen for the business name, thanks for clearing that up! 😀 This was a fun video Joe, one of your best!
Lets be honest Joe...that game was barely broke. Great vid. You 'guys' plural do great work.
Must be learning something. As from second two, I was thinking Power Supply. But that power cord hack job... ugh. Guess I'll head into my personal home arcade... and play a round of Pac-Man.
Y'all make a good team.
yeah Rons has more of a strip joint ring to it :D
I remember Ron one time saying that people thought he was Joe. I thought, then why don't you say "This is Ron with Joe's classic Video Games with another cool video for you this evening" on every video? 😄
I saw an interview with Doug Macrae one of the founders of General Computer Corporation. GCC made the upgrade hack for Missile Command called Super Missle Attack. They were the ones who created Crazy Otto which eventually became Ms. Pac-Man. Part of the agreement was that anything that bears the name "Ms. Pac-Man" GCC was to be paid royalties. During the interview, Mr. Macrae. said he was with his family at a pizza parlor saw one of these cabinets, about a year after its release, and was not happy at all. He made an appointment with the head of NAMCO at the time and made them pull out the signed documents referring to the royalties that were to be paid. Not only did NAMCO have to pay them the royalties for the 20th Anniversary cabinet, but the 25th Anniversary cabinet as well because it had already been distributed at the time of the conference between Mr. Macrae and NAMCO. The 25th Anniversary has Pac-Man available without the need for a code. This is also because you have never seen anything since the release of the 25th Anniversary cabinet that bears Ms. Pac-Man's name.
Man, Ronnie out here trying to convince us he has a brother, rather than just admit his voice is different because he's sick. (Joe, for the record, I love the arcade repairs and learn a ton from them)
Joe? Ron? I'm just pro video. Thanks for making them.
I have nothing against a continue on some games, even Pac-Man since it goes faster, however, reset the score. That way, if you want to keep going fast, you can.
Joes speaking the Truth, best games Ever!
Thanks for the unintentional tour around the shop. I think I've only seen the regular filming locations and the inventory section, but never in how they all relate to each other. Does anyone still make CRT monitors? I went in the arcade the other day and noticed several newer machines had LCD monitors in them. Just wondering if you could buy new replacements or just working through old stock.
@LyonsArcade
3 күн бұрын
They Don't make CRT monitors anymore, not many people want to take the time to repair them unfortunately. Most people take them out and put in LCD monitors because its easy
I love showing off the code to play pac-man on these machines.
Thanks for the Pac man code. Where is Ronnie by the way? 😂
It is funny that in AC, black is usually the "hot," while it is DC ground. White is neutral, and at the first panel box, it is tied to the green wire.
Well I like when both of you do a little bit of both. Where you'll have one video of video games repairs like you do Joe. And then you'll have one with Ron which may contain multiple episode repair of a electro-mechanical repair. Its a nice switch betwen the twoo. Nothing wrong with that either. Keep up the excellent work Joe and Ron. :)
Very nice video and an awesome game. Thanks for posting this.
Is the joystick a happ or some other variety? I have never seen one this clean in my life... looks brand new. That 7400 is amazing. Bright and looks to have 0 burn in.

the joysticks are manufactured by IL in Spain. They made many of the early Competition sticks for Happ.
@LyonsArcade
3 күн бұрын
It's a special joystick happ made for the reunion games that was a modern version of the original but with microswitches, they make brand new ones still. Like uTubed119 said they were contracted through IL back in the day, so if you buy a modern one the IL one is actually what the Happ one used to be
On the original Pac-Man, there are fixed move patterns that can clear most of the board without making any decisions. There is even a location you can park without getting killed.
I cant wait for the next video whoevers presenting them, i think you both have a wicked sense of humour. Somtimes i get confused where we are in your shop though, are we at the front where the windows are or at the back🤔
Microsoft updated my computer, which then made it start crashing over and over again, so when I edited the video apparently the computer got the audio out of sync. We're going to get a new computer soon anyways. The game board doesn't have the sound out of sync, it's the editing software.

Hey Joe don't you listen to those nay sayers - we appreciate both you and Ron's videos here. Wow what a clean machine. I'd like to find one of these one day. Two classic games from my youth. It looks like you popped the locks instead of drilling them. Interesting. I guess you couldn't show how you did that :-)
I'm guessing it wasn't used much because it was broken for most of the 24 years...saves on wear and tear!
On the game select screen press, Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left. You should here a dinging sound.
A great salesperson. Sold a new power supply, when you had a working power supply LOL. I get it. I like the 19 monitor better but I don't have one and if I did it probably would collect dust.

If i were to have only one arcade cabinet in my house it would be this one.
I'm noticing a sound lag on the Pac-Man games.
I have this cab. Love it. The only thing I hate is that the Ms Pac only saves High Scores once in awhile. Any trick that you know of to get them to always save? I don't think there is a high score save kit or there for it
"Power supply, power supply, power supply" doesn't usually mean "make sure someone didn't leave the power supply dangling inside the cabinet so that moving it around caused it to be unplugged by gravity" but every day is an adventure of discovering new types of dumb.
Beautiful cabinet on excellent condition. I can't believe someone half assed the power supply like that on such a beauty. It s an emu? I don't why that caught me so off guard. I just expected Giant racks of boards 🤣 Was there an audio sync issue in the video or was Pac-Man a little "off"? Or was I just having stroke?
I love me some Joe videos!!! I also loved when I discovered y'all a few years ago and was watching all the pinball repairs and 3 months later Ronnie mentions his brother Joey and this Joe guy starts talking to him... Wait what bout blew my damn mind lol. I also followed Lyons Arcade on Facebook... Found them thinking it was you lol any relation?

As far as continues go, the game should either A) reset the score to 0 when a continue is used, or B) the high score table should *also* list the number of continues used.
Any reasons why they made the Reunion using a 25inch display instead a 19inch display?

Would the words "standard," or "original " be acceptable? Also, in my opinion, the ability to continue takes the fun out of it. The challenge of the game is to see how far you can get and how high of a score you can achieve with just one quarter. Additionally, NAMCO obtained the rights to publish a 3-in-1 cabinet that has Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., and the original Mario Bros. NAMCO also put a continue option in that one as well. The only problem with that machine is that the cabinet is too narrow to play Mario Bros. when compared to the original.
Power supply, power supply, power supply...
Use those power supplies in various hobby things and the mounting is absolute trash. Which should be obvious for anyone trying to use one. I know it and plan accordingly. It involves wrapping the PSU in zip ties and then screwing that down with cable clips. It works, as long as nobody has to look at it. It doesn't cost much more to use a much better PSU, as Joe does.
These games on 25" CRT's always looks goofy to me.
Oh man, you need to learn the art of lock picking!
Too bad Joe’s classic video games wasn’t here in indiana bc I would have him come and pick it up so I can see if this thing works or not….
I think its UUU DDD LRLRL ding ding ding ding. !!!!
