You can't argue with how well it turned out... I've been watching a lot of "paint tutorials" lately and he broke several of the cardinal rules of painting. Not blending the panel, and painting to the edge of a panel. Stopping his spray pattern in the middle of a panel. This just goes to show that you can do it your way-and still get excellent results. Thumbs up from me!

That red putty after the fiberglass filler, was that Bondo Spot Putty or some other kind of nitro 1K putty? Didn't see you using a hardener and looked very smooth and creamy in consistency.

Can someone help me, I accidentally used 80 grit to sand down to the very bottom of the paint. ( bare plastic material) theres many many visible scratches do i simply just sand it down again with with 220? I don't want to cause any more scratches

Did u not flat it down the clearcoat before u polish it? did u just polish over the lear coat with out flating down with 1500 or 2000?

no need to rub 1500/2000 if clearcoat is not a problem. unless there is a little dust that needs to be rubbed

@@automotive.garage1710 .it depends on the spray condition and the type of clearcoat if there is no problem with thick orange peel it can be cut until smooth and flat..if you cut a lot using 1500/2000 it will remove many layers of clearcoat rays

Sand the edge with 80 then 180 and sand the filler with a sandingblock not your handpalm (as you can see at 12.57) mix your paint in another cup then in your spraygun trough a filter for the dust you also have a lot of Orange surface

Great job man, everyone has thier own technique. The only thing i would have liked is a little more explanation on what materials you were using, mixing ratios ect.
