I’m 69 and every time I hear REO it reminds me of how awesome the music was in the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s, and how nothing today compares to it. To see his daughter doing a duet with him was the most amazing thing!

I'm 55 and I've always heard there's no such thing as FOREVER but I believe there's is such a thing and 80s music is the very heart of it. REO still amazing as ever. I'm so thankful I grew up in the time I did.

WHO else is watching this in 2020 in the mess we are in today as of August 10th? Every time I hear this beautiful song, memories of my younger days flow back over me. Takes me right back there, and it awakens all those feelings I struggled with at that age.The passion, the love of life we all feel at that age. Great to be able to revisit just by listening to the music.

I am black I was 20 years old in 1985 I used to hear this song on the radio at Lackland Air Force base in san Antonio tx. it's one of the greatest rock ballads of all time i'm crying watching kevin Cronin sing this as a duet with his daughter it doesn't get cooler then that

I am Black,and l love this song.l am 63 years old. I am sitting here wiping tears from my eyes,as l watch him sing this beautiful ballad with his daughter. I then watched the video from 1985 when he was young and had long dark flowing hair. It is wonderful he did this with his child. This song will live forever. And years from now, she will appreciate even more what her Rock Star father(lead vocalist of REO SpeedWagon) did with her on stage.

I’m 62 now and heard this song for the first time in 85, I rushed home and told my soon to be wife (86) this is our song! I’m ready to bite the bullet! We’ve been together ever since!

This is the "ultimate love song" and I've been a big fan of REO Speedwagon since the start. But I must admit this particular rendition had quite escaped my notice. Whit his daughter? Are you kidding me? This was so special it made me cry. This song always made me teary eyes anyway but to hear him sing it with his daughter just sent me over the edge. You know I'm saving this one!

I saw REO in Champaign/Urbana in 1973 at a fraternity house dance. They were just starting out I believe. They were fantastic & I was in love with a young man at the time. Thanks for the memories! What a wonderful time to be young & a live!!!!🎉🫶😁

Good bands and artists don't waste away from drug abuse and severe mental health issues later in life when they don't live too hard and fast. REO Speed wagon is simply an envy by many in the music industry. Good on them. Will be great if I see Metallica age and retire with dignity. I will be very proud of them.

Born in 1972. Cannot tell you how freaking grateful I am to have grown up with the best music EVER!!! 70s rock and hair metal!!!

As a live singer myself, I enjoyed the subtle things that were going on “musician-wise” to help make her comfortable. It makes my heart swell. Kevin is such a loving man. Probably subconsciously, he slowed and articulated the beat before she came out, knowing that nerves often make a singer “push” the rhythm… he gave her a rock solid vocal beat with the drums. And, daddy knows best- she came out and pushed the rhythm but grasped his lead. PERFECTION. Then he stayed very rock solid with the beat, making sure to showcase her. He even began verses, triggering her memory just in case she was nervous and forgot. Master! Great video! Without words it shows a class act enjoying the stage with her. (And what a beautiful voice she has!!)

They are all nice guys. I grew up in the same town as Doughty. Met him through his little brother (who can sing and used to do a lot of their songs at the karaoke bars back in the late 80's and early 90's. Met the band when I was in college.

What an accolade, to sing this song with his grown up daughter. Omg it says everything about rock music! Long may it reign....

I see a proud father on stage and a proud daughter too because i can see all the love and happiness they share singing the song.

Nothing like family voices singing together! My daughter now 42 called them REO Speedwangin and got excited when she heard them come on the radio when she was very young. The first band she recognized with just a few notes.

Kevin still has it have all these years. And his daughter has an incredible voice. Your can tell he's a proud Dad

my dad played drums on the road with them for a few years in the 80's. Graham Lear. I remember riding on a tour bus with the band as a toddler. The guys were amazingly kind and fun to be around. Kevin Cronin is one of the all time greatest song writers, and that gave REO speedwagon a much bigger effect than many other big "rock bands" of the era. They had style, but REO had substance. Real song-writing chops that went far beyond anthems and guitar solos.

J D Well, they did have the number one album of 1981 and 2 number one hits and still draw decent audiences so they can't complain :-) Bryan Hitt became their permanent drummer. Graham Lear was their drummer between Alan and Bryan.

They played in Wilmington NC April 2022 and they haven’t missed a beat. His voice was impressive at 70+ years of age. They put on a great show.

I've been a huge REO Speedwagon fan since I was a kid back in the 70's, and seen them in Chicago in 1980, or maybe it was 81, it was their biggest tour ever, The Hi Infidelity Tour, when they were all still young, what an awesome show that was! Even now nearly 40 years later, I still love their music. Kevin Cronin has always been one of my favorite front men, and lead singers, and even though the long dark locks, are now short and white, and he doesn't have the energy he had back in the day, he's still one of my favorites...R.I.P. Gary Richrath.

Back when hi infidelity was even on pop stations not only on rock stations kickin it!!

We saw them live in Park City at an outdoor concert in the 80's. Played 2 1/2 hours non stop. Best concert ever!

Proud Dad moment! She sounded phenomenal!

I wish Y'all have respect for Kevin, I'm 23 yrs old, I respected his talents, and I don't care what he wears, I appreciated him , and the entirely Rock n Roll history, I wish I was there, living in their Era, let's just enjoy him and hes music while he still with us, instead of bashing him, Rock's well lived forever, God bless you all.

Everyone has different taste in Music doesn’t matter how old you are just depends on what Music your parents played as you were growing up, but the 70’s and 80’s was a great era to grow up in, We live in a completely different world today but listening to this Music really does take you back to a great era love it 👌🇦🇺👌🇦🇺👌🇦🇺👌🇦🇺👌🇦🇺👌🇦🇺

His daughter is beautiful and as a father and a lover of REO for most of my life, this was wonderful to see and hear them together :D In old South Africa we loved this band.

I grew up as a punk rock/ metal kid in the 80s. Everyone needs to lay off this dude because this song is pretty damn awesome and the fact that he's still able to sing it is impressive.

I have to say his daughter is hella cute and a good singer.

REO died the day Gary left, I understand why they had to get rid of him, he was a flaming alcoholic but he is the only reason any of those chick songs were any good, his guitar style made those songs popular! Rest in peace Gary you are missed.

I personally think he looks amazing for his age. I love that his daughter wants to get out there and sing with her dad. My dad was a musician and one of my favorite memories is getting up on stage and singing harmony with him.

Her voice gave me chills! And i love how they sound together

People age, talent never does. One of the finest 80s bands.. still sound as good.

This song is so iconic for me! It remains firmly planted at the top of my personal Top 100 list. When I hear it, I'm in my 20s again, on the dancefloor, lost in the music in the arms of a certain someone. Great memories!

REO Speedwagon is the music of a generation, the 80’s which by the way has stood the test of time. The music is still as good today as it was then. Many of the songs are actually soundtrack from some of the big movies of the 80’ s as well. Some great memories for sure. Criticizing someone’s looks because they are aging or for any reason shows a person who is weak. If all your confidence and security comes from your looks, then you are a shallow, insecure person. Ages old saying, if you have nothing nice to say then don’t say anything !

So true. I went to high school with Neal Doughty and his younger brother. The funny thing is that his younger brother sounds a lot like Kevin Cronin and would do their songs Karaoke and the bar would go silent. It still happens occasionally.

Agreed! I feel sorry for those who have to put others down to make themselves feel better. Whether you like/don't like them you have to give up respect for their staying power--how many bands have been around for 50 years?!! REO still ROCKS!!!

That ballad still rocks today. Imagine 35 years ago this song hit the charts and was one of the number 1 requested songs on the radio.

Kevin Cronin is now and always will be one of my heros. His vocals and the band has brought me many comforts thru the years. I hope she knows that her dad is a living legend. Great performance.

Aww, a precious daddy-daughter moment that involves a precious song. It doesn't get any better than that!

After all these years, this is one of those songs that brings all my childhood memories. I was only 14 when this song was released. My bet is it still be heard in another 50 years or beyond.
