I had the honor of meeting this legend on a seminary in my hometown here in Brazil a few years ago. Great guy, impossible not to smile around him, 100% a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. Oss!
@TheOKmethod8 ай бұрын
Got to do a seminar with Renzo at his gym in Kaysville, Utah a couple weeks ago. Dudes the genuine article. During the seminar he shared a poem his grandfather used to tell him: OUR CHILDREN” And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, Speak to us of Children. And he said: Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable. Kahlil Gibran 1883 - 1931

I've fractured my right femur and had to have surgery to repair it. My wife's dying to watch me go through the airport security metal detectors to see if they find all of the metal screwed to my bones. The point is a broken femur is nothing to sneeze at. That happened about a year ago and was only a week after I was clinically dead twice on the same day. The combination of those two events altered every aspect of my life. My wife has been required to pick up the slack I've created on our horse farm. Not to mention she still works as a mental health counselor at a suicide prevention hotline. Her work there was prompted by the issues I've had after serving for 15 years. She's doing that work to try prevent my sisters and brothers from losing their battle and joining the 22 a day. She is a hero to me.
@Dave-bz4pb

Believe it or not, the detectors probably won't even beep. Have a metal plate and five screws in my leg, get through with no issues when I go to the airport.

I had the honor of meeting this legend on a seminary in my hometown here in Brazil a few years ago. Great guy, impossible not to smile around him, 100% a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. Oss!
For a guy that fights for a living i love how renzo is always in a good mood and making everybody laugh constantly!! True mystic !
I hope the crowd brought a pillow!!
Renzo is such a warrior. He is so tough, such a great personality too. He is one of my favorite fighters ever.
Two of my all-time favorites. BJ had sneaky boxing skills and was never afraid to fight anyone of any size, even to the detriment of his record.
8 minutes in and im getting emotional. I am a father of four boys, and if they hold me in half the regard that Renzo does Robson, I'll feel like I succeeded as a father. Respect.

Thank you for this Renzo Gracie, much respect oss!

Believe it or not, the detectors probably won't even beep. Have a metal plate and five screws in my leg, get through with no issues when I go to the airport.
This was fantastic. Renzo is a legend amongst legends
This documentary was outstanding. Well done!

@@brethitmanhart275 catch as catch can, no holds barred= catch wrestling. A British art of grappling, yes British. Gracie JJ is a cult for rich white boys to pretend to wrestle, then it's all high fives and cuddles after class. It's fucking pathetic. 🇬🇧

Sounds like you got teabagged by your hero. How much did it cost you for your 1 minute of fame. $100? Plus training fees, GUI , and lots of lovely Gracie pyramid t-shirts.

grappler41, a fighters fighter, really? Watch the wanker fight Frank Shamrock, then tell me he's a fighters fighter. Renzo is same as all the other Gracie girls, cheating is a big part of their legacy, oh yeah, real role models.
