Edd and Louie have the same quality standard and push one another on , Louie the builder with his gloves and Edd without!So much more than levelling falls to the drain plus drains from the kitchen , bathroom and roof to come.

I am intrigued by the architecture in France and how your homes (except chateaus) are right on the street and how they are all connected together. It's so different! Yes Ed, delegating doesn't mean losing control, it means the opposite !! You are in for the long haul ! It's amazing how much a well poured 'chape' changes a space !!!

Edd, in Western Canada, we use rain barrels to catch the water from the downspouts and use it to water plants. Is that something that would work in the outside area??

The rain water will go into the rain drain at the front I’m not sure we will need any rainwater barrels, but funnily enough here is France they use wine 1m3 totes!

Everyone should have a guy like Louis. Mine (in my groundfloor remodel 20 years ago) was Steve. Worth any price.

It was very interesting seeing the neighborhood as you drove to the build. Very scenic.

Building is an emotional turning point. The masonry walls are the sensible, solid solution to the lover floor and the new layout upstairs.

Ed you all do such a good job. Maybe in the spring you could give Ryan of (life with) a little help he seems to never finish a project before he is on to the next one.

I have to admit, the cement job is one of the more interesting things I've seen, very different from what you see normally. I'm sure there is a reason, but I can't see it.

The sub-freezing temperatures have now reached Houston as well. It's the first time it's been this cold since the power grid failure a couple of years ago! Needless to say, we're not so confident that we will continue to have electricity. 😭

Love to watch the progress. This will be a beautiful home. Don't pick on Louie because the world is watching and listening. Encourage him to show professionalism on the camera and the viewers will be encouraged too.

The wall you can’t change would be a beautiful living wall if you can find the plants to grow in that light. It will look beautiful and add more oxygen since it is so close to the street. Will also help cool the area in summer. Take a look at some on the internet. (Also innovative to appeal to that market and a good place to add a trickle waterfall.

Gosh, it looks so much better since you demoed the job. To have a poured level floor and away you go. Edd, I think Louie has come a long way with working with you last summer. I wondered what the wire stakes were for.

Hi mate Regards from NZ ,I put a conservatory on the side of the house it catches the afternoon sun and get very hot so I know what you are saying But if you put opening windows on top this would allow the heat to escape The bonus is in winter and sunny days even though cold this warms the house during the day Then close the door at night Worth thinking about I enjoy watching Reno projects You have done well considering the setbacks But that's par for the course in old buildings, Cheers @@BordeauxLife
