Welcome back to my KZread channel where I share our journey and family life on the island Andøya. Here between steep mountains deep fjords, and endless ocean.. we renovate a small Norwegian farmhouse from in and outside..
We try to transform this old house into a modern style with traditional Scandinavian aspects. We try to use natural materials such as wood and stone and we try to make a warm and cozy atmothsfeer in here.

Her music applies a range of influences: the intimacy of alternative country/folk laced with widescreen splendor of contemporary pop.
As a musician, songwriter, and filmmaker, Carmijn has held a long-cherished dream of living in the heart of nature. “For me nature is magical. It's healing and creates a feeling of total freedom. A feeling of peace. When I’m surrounded by big mountains and long rivers, I feel free. The sunlight on my skin, swimming in the cold water. When I close my eyes, words and melodies arise. “
In the spring of 2022, she moved with her partner and son from her native Netherlands to the North of Norway. Between tall mountains, long rivers, and endless forests, she quickly learned living in nature is both hard work and awe-inspiring.
For Carmijn, Red Leaf Hill is as much about sharing as it is expressing, through her own means and by seeking out collaborators who travel a similar wavelength. On her KZread channel, she’s garnered a steady following in her journeys across the Norwegian wilderness. To be an open book, where struggle, joy, fear, and courage are laid bare for all to see. Most amazing drone footage through out the whole video. Your video leaves the viewer in awe of Mother Nature. Although covered with plenty of snow the surrounding landscape seems to add an extra dimension to the whole area. Im sure the deafening silence that goes hand in hand with the surroundings must almost enrobe you within its being. If the soundtrack at the end of the video is part of your new material it is as beautiful as your surroundings. I can see why you had to write something almost as a homage to what the eye is seeing.❤

I just want to say a big thank you for your wonderful videos. I only discovered your channel recently and since then have watched everything from the start. I think your family is absolutely lovely. Your cinematography is great and i always feel so happy when i see a notification pop up for a new video. Can i ask you something? Is it possible for a more mature couple(im 59 and my husband 62) to live in Norway? Are mature people readily employed there? We are British. We have wanted to move to a Scandinavian country for some time but fear our age is a barrier. Take care. PS I think you have a beautiful voice and look forward to hearing your new tracks xxxx
