Actually, the power boost technically only applies to Machoke without his belt, as it’s been stated without Machamp’s belt, it does more harm and damage to himself rather than help. But it is likely his full power is absurd even if it harms him

Yeah, we also have to put into account that, in Mortal Kombat lore, Goro loses to humans. Not super humans, just strong humans. Machamp had this one.

Imagine thinking characters like Liu Kang are not superhuman... And mind you, Earthrealm characters also have access to advanced high tech especially designed to combat monsters from Outworld and the Netherrealm. Only case of a normal "strong human" beating a Shokan is probably Stryker's story in mk9 during the invasion. The writers picked the stupidest fucking match-ups for that one.

A different type of course, but can defeat god [with a type advantage no less to its standard form] and be hit by the most powerful attack from the most powerful monster in the realm that could level cities and only be knocked out. Something to think about is that the stats from the games only apply in the games. Since the whole battle system for pokemon is turn based. In poken tournament you see all the characters move around pretty well without much speed difference. So for the death battle they have to take into account the way the attacks look and work, as well as taking the pokedex entries more literally given that it's supposed to have all the knowledge of pokemon feats.

Which is what they did. Pokken did give machamp the 1000 punches so they gave him the other pokedex entries

I'm a fighting type gym leader/elite 4 member so I'm glad we won one! Being the fighting type expert that I am allow me to say that Machamp was actually underpowered, he or she has many other moves they can do such as Fire Blast, Earthquake, and moves that reduce damage like Reflect. The ones I saw this Machamp use were: Storm Throw, Seismic Toss, Cross Chop, Double Slap, Sky Uppercut, Dynamic Punch, and Submission. I could've missed other ones haha

The reason for those lack of moves is because they are TMs or possibly Egg Moves. As these require player influence, the wild Machamp is not given access to them. The only time unnatural moves are considered is when they are using a specific Pokémon. For example, Ash's Pikachu or the anime's Mewtwo. Then everything those Pokémon show and possibly should know are available to them.

Goro woukd’ve lost either way cause it’s canon that if machamp loses his champion belt they get super angry and their strength increases exponentially. Plus it’s never been confirmed that goro can hit as fast as cabal since his trait is literally being the fastest runner and hitter out of all the combatants.

Not only that (with the belt), already Machoke had that feature; Machamp losing the belt should / would be stronger than that^^ Also, they didn't gave Machamp an Item, like Metronome, where repeating the same Move strengthens it, every time. Combine that with the 1000 punches, Guts, a power up Move before that (like Bulk up, or get lucky with Metronome Attack and get BellyDrum)^^

What's Crazy is that Good lost to a Wild Machamp. A Wild Machamp. Imagine if this Machamp was with a Trainer and it still had it's Power Belt on which is basically a Power Limiter for Machamp

The most surprising part about the battle was blue apron not being the ad this time

Im one of these Machamp obsessed person lmao. The fight is so amazing and the music in the background is phenomenal, making references to Mortal Kombat music and Pokemon music. This Machamp was waaayy too nice to Goro tbh. Cus like, this Machamp not only kept its belt on but also was a random Machamp with random IVs and EVs, a random nature AND had no held items to help itself with! If this Machamp had perfect EVs, IVs, took its belt off, was level 100 (well, we dont know the level of *this* Machamp but since its a wild Machamp, it could be just level 50 or 70), held a useful item and had a better moveset, its not just Goro that wouldve died lol. The whole place wouldve being annihilated. Crazy!

Yeah before this even started I knew Machamp was going to win. Generation 1 pokémon are just stupid powerful.

ZoanBlade90 Nah he’s just resistant, and even then that’s through his own willpower. He does have Brainiac 5 level technology but none of it is specifically designed to counter mental attacks.

Daniel Wilson true, though he was barely hanging in there, he was clearly struggling and in pain, and looking at his bio he doesn’t seem to have anything in his arsenal that protects him from mental attacks. I won’t count him out just yet, but i don’t think willing himself through mind attacks is gonna hand him the win instantly. I believe that while mental attacks won’t take him out, they WILL slow him down, leaving himself open for an attack

When using a species rather than a character, such as Ash's Pikachu, they only use wild Pokémon. A wild Machamp can naturally know Seismic Toss. There actually are very few Pokémon that naturally learn Seismic Toss. The rest are through unnatural means, and thus are excluded. Both for player influence being removed and that TM's are basically steroids.

believe it or not they actually downplayed machamp's speed. He's fought and caught up to pokemon who are considered light speed even digglett is considered light speed that's about 670,616,629 miles an hour. way faster than anything goro has faced lol. machamp stomped in this one it wasn't even close. in my opinion machamp shouldn't of even lost an arm I honestly think machamp was toying with goro until he got his armed ripped off then he started trying and he easily beat him if they had machamp try from the start but the battle would be over in 3 seconds and that's no fun. this was an absolute stomp in machamp's favor and they massively downplayed him too saying he's mach 1 speed LOL
