I understand those emotions. I have a short fuse and whenever a game intentionally pushes my buttons and makes me blow up it feels like my skin is on fire and like I could break one of my bones on a whim. Even with succesfull anger management training and healthy coping skills it's STILL hard! What Mark says is true: even inflicting this on your worst enemy is only something a genuinely cruel person would do.

God, I can feel that rage on a spiritual level

Been watching these guys for some time now after first seeing their reaction stuff months ago. Now I'm always hyped when a new upload drops.

I adore this game. It speaks so much truth about game design and is full of emotion. I rather feel SOMETHING in a game then nothing, and I know that the pain that I feel is all my own fault. It isn't the game, it is just me.

Omg that intro was adorable lol. Mark did a lot of his gaming with Getting Over It in streams too. You saw him trying not to swear otherwise he gets punished. His chat saw all this live. I was there during much of it and also watching him slowly progress over weeks till he finally beat it. Was so endorphin releasing lol. You should watch Getting Over It speedruns to see Nic's reaction. "How did they fucking do that?" lmao

I remember watching LaeppaVika (a Finnish content creator) play this and I got to say I absolutely love the differences between him and Mark... The rage is there but where Mark devolves into shouting no and general nonsense and near rage quiting Rauski bears his rage in different flavours of silence and using that rage as a force of motivation for his cold and methodical approach... Got to love that Finnish Sisu...

dude mark took this game personaly man like playing there were times it didint just make him rage, it made him go past rage into dispair this game was vannish levels of pain for poor mark

I wonder if I’m the only person who enjoys Getting Over It… as in, whenever I fall, I just laugh and don’t get mad at all! I’ve even purposely threw myself off ledges losing a lot of progress, just to piss off my friends when screen sharing in Discord! The only time I’ll play a game *this* difficult is if the core mechanics are fun and the story is good, like Bloodborne for example. This game, like Jump King, is intended to make people angry and nothing else which makes it entertaining when watching someone else play it but sucks if you’re the player instead.

I think mark's pogostuck rage's were, far worse and just pure agony, i definitely recommend that one, a compilation of course
