@Neer Mania. Great video. I just bought Kiger last month and I could easily find these issues. Mud issue has been resolved in new Kiger 2022 cars. Power is bit low compared to other cars, but overall drive with Renault Kiger AMT RXZ is good with decent city drives. If you are opting for a Kiger car, go with Turbo RXZ AMT model.

There is no Turbo AMT variant. Turbo comes with CVT.

The doors gaps have issue even in 22 models coz there is no rubber beading on the corners on any doors even dicky and boot , I have solved this issue by buying a rubber beading from Amazon and sticking it around the corners edges of all doors and now this issue is solved especially in the rainy season, I don’t understand how a such big reputed car company can ignore such issue.

I know.. there are cost cutting done on some basic things in a car. But also have to remember that in this budget you won't get other compact SUV except maybe magnite.

@@NeerMania yes the reason for me to buy this car was the affordable budget and also features. I am happy with the features I have a RXZ AMT 2022 model top model and it’s very comfortable and easy and also good looks cabin space is good and comfortable. Yes about power I find it less but I use in manual mode in the highways and in city in automatic mode overall happy with the car so far, but from July 2022 on wards manufactured cars there is even more cost cutting as well.

I have also noticed the seat belt issue where it's really difficult to find the lever especially when you try to wear the seat belt while driving. Other thing which you mentioned for view obstruction while trying to take a turn is also noticeable. I think there should be a clear view while we take turns to avoid any mishaps. Other cons I didn't notice till now.

Door panel gaps you surely must have noticed? From outside dirt comes coz of these gaps & then a little high speed road noise comes into the cabin.

Hi Ganesh.. AMT starts with the RXT variant. Its manual for RXE. I just wanted to keep that clarity. Also, if someone likes to get the automatic variant of Kiger, I personally feel the CVT variant is much better than AMT. Overall, manual or automatic, the best value for money variant would be the RXT one. If the NA engine feels underpowered then you can take the test drive of the turbo one. You have to think about the budget and go for the most apt one. Also, I'm not aware of autodrive.

Watching this after buying CVT top end ...its a breeze to drive ...Value for money

Hi Sashidhar - thanks for reaching out. 1. Gear shift is average not like Maruti but not a deal breaker. 2. I would always recommend NA. In your case more so. Turbo is a little high maintenance. 3. Fit & finish is also average. However, end of the day you need to think of your budget.

Top variants in both Kiger & Magnite are now priced above 10 lakhs.. so you have to choose one with a lower variant. Features wise Magnite is ahead than Kiger and base model of Magnite is better than Kiger I would say. However, Magnite waiting period is longer than Kiger. I would recommend you go for Kiger value for money RXT variant but it doesn't matter what anyone recommends.. you should always go for a test drive to understand what you will like.

What about visibility in the rear view mirror? I took a test drive and found it small. Do you feel the same? I'm worried about the blind spots on this vehicle. What is your take on this?

Rear view is not an issue hence its not listed as a con.. other cars also have small viewing at the back.. but yes, A-pillar is a little thick as I showed in the video.. that might be a problem.. but other cars also have their cons.. actually we get used to these things & learn to live with it.. all boils down to budget. If one has a high budget then they will go for other cars.. kiger in the budget is quite good.. space, seating, trunk, etc. all good. You should explore other options & compare then decide 👍🏻

Actually it’s small or May be it can be little more bigger length wise, so solve this issue I have used a extra wide additional mirror, which sits on top of the existing mirror, which gives me wide angle view.

Thanks. The difference between 1 &1.2 l engine is mainly down to power. And, for me too the kiger is a 1st time car. Sometimes I feel it would have been good to have a little more power. If you are looking for more power then it is better to go for a 1.2 l engine car. But then you also should have a higher budget. With 8-10 lakhs budget kiger is a good enough car. @@techfin6172 no not a gimmick.. those drive modes up the power, specially when changed from normal to sports mode. Then you should go for the naturally aspirated engine of the rxz model 👍🏻

Better they charge more but don't do such cost cutting. Would have loved to see a 1.2 Ltr naturally aspirated engine on this. When Cars like Alto are going at above 6 lacs price onroad then we should understand that without too much costcutting the cars like Magnite or Kiger would cost bit more than them. But problem is if they go more than that budget then people would shift to other cars of Maruti. And actually this is ridiculous. Renault gave us Logan which was a decent car at it's price and inflation has gone up. Then they gave Fluence and Scala too. So, not easy to get a good car under 8 lacs nowadays. Even if Magnite or Kiger costs bit more with all rectifications done and give us 1.2 Ltr 4 cylinder petrol engine then it would be better. At that pricepoint too they really don't have any competetion other than Punch, Nexon or Citroen C3. There is no proper 5 seater car from Maruti at 8 lacs budget too covering all essential features. Only Ertiga might be a good choice but that's not really that much spacious for 7 persons in real sense. Better to go for a 5 seater than going for a car with on road price of 6 lacs or more but 4 seater only. I like rear look of Kiger. But me don't like such cost-cutting in car. The mentioned drawbacks won't cost that much to rectify and make car more appealing. It depends on Renault and Nissan what they wanna do here. This product won't sell for a long time with such short comings. People are purchasing Breeza even after facelift and it became costly by almost 1 Lacs than previous generation. Better Renault too tries to do that bcz literally not many 5 seater options in cars within 8 lacs budget. This car can still remain a good value for money product by improviding it's negative traits. They should give dead pedal also with not so deep clutch

Yes, one can go for kiger even first timers coz there is no other compact SUV under the 8-10 lakhs segment. Need to evaluate the budget.. manual is good for first timers since you will learn how to drive in a manual car only. But if you want to go for an automatic then suggest going for CVT.

I bought it for 10.16 lakhs, 3 months back

The best reason to buy is only low budget suv with all the essential features and 4star ncap rating. The only disadvantage as per my point of view is the 1 litre 3 cylinder noisy engine.

Mera wala key gum nahi hua hain, mujhe nahi pata hain gum hone se gari chori ho sakta hain ki nhi.. par auto lock feature bohot sahi hain, cool hain 👍

Kiger kwid ki baap ;) To fix the pillar blind spot, move your seat position backwards. Also cruise control only in turbo top model i think.

Yeh rxz mein sirf nahi part rxt mein bhi same nhi hoti hain.. engine off karne ke baad kuch secs ke liye power windows on rahegi plus music bhi.. uske baad auto off ho jati hain.. this is how its setup.. no need to worry defect nahi hain 👍🏻

Uphill in the city is not that good considering traffic.. sometimes it feels like the car lacks some power.. however, highway driving or overtaking is not an issue.. great handling and braking 👍🏻

Yes I went to the service center, they said they’ll rectify at the 10000kms general service and I’m getting big sounds on the left side door, I guess due to bad fittings and the pickup of the car is a disaster in normal mode(somewhat better in Sports mode) but liked the interiors and sitting space of the car, My kiger is RXZ manual bought in July 2022( 10.16 lakhs on road, Guntur)

you need to reset the kms from settings time to time in order to get the acurate mileage.

Hello Neer, I loved your video. Thanks for your efforts. Can you please suggest if going with Nexon XMA - On road price Hyderabad is 11.03Lakhs would be a better idea. I am planning due to following reasons: 1. It comes with a turbo engine. 2. It comes with a 5 star safety ratings which are more important to me than few additional features which Kiger offers. 3. I am unsure of Renaults durability and resale value. Could not find any satisfactory videos from users owning Renault for 6years or 8years (I don’t want to change car for at-least for 7-8years) 4. Kiger rating on MouthShut is less than 2stars Have I missed anything which might result in me regretting going for Nexon leaving Kiger (other than saving 1-1.5Lakh)

Thank you Ameet. I tried to give an honest review. Nexon XMA AMT price indeed is 11.03 in Hyderabad vs Kiger RXT AMT turbo version 9.12. almost 2 lakhs difference. Also Kiger has a 4-star rating. So if features & look is not that important as well as the waiting time for nexon & any tata cars.. then yes, go for nexon 👍🏻

@@amitagroha the choice of insurance company is yours.. and please negotiate the price with the showroom. They generally have a cut and hence, quote a higher amount. However, it's advisable you go with insurance from the showroom since in case of insurance claims later, it would be an easier process.

There are some issues with the powerz pickup but overall experience has not been too bad. It is consistent in performance and I have not faced any issues with anything specific.

I would suggest go for RXT or RXT optional.. naturally aspirated engine is fine & even can go for turbo if your budget permits. If going for automatic then suggest CVT. Its better than AMT. Hope this helps.

First & foremost you need to start understanding that no brand no car is perfect 10 in all features or reliability. There is no car I know of with so many features & criteria you mentioned in your question. You need to either look after your budget or features before buying a car.. many features in 5-10 lakhs budget are not possible. If you can compromise on some features you only have Triber, Kiger & Magnite in your budget. But I don't know about the future so keep looking 👍🏻

Every car from any brand has pros & cons.. Magnite too suffers from negative reviews.. so its really up to us to take the test drive of the car & evaluate different parameters in order to decide which one to buy 👍🏻

@hamsaveni4272 - I own Kiger RXZ CVT variant. CVT works well and power delivery is good. The car is pretty decent and I haven't faced any issue yet. 10+ months, 9K+ KMs completed. Mileage: 7-9 in heavy city traffic, 9-11 in moving traffic, 11-14 on empty roads, 16-20 on highways. Biggest drawback that I've noticed is the AC cooling in 35°+ temperature. The AC works fine but the blower speed is way to less. I am going to get it checked. People have suggested that it might be the AC filter that's causing the issue. I am pretty happy with the car overall. Minor issues here and there will keep happening. Issues that Neer has highlighted in the video are more or less the same for me as well.

@@selvamanisks To be very frank, I am not sure who created this myth that mileage increases two-fold after each servicing. Yes, the mileage will increase a little with more kms.. but mileage depends upon how you drive the car. Heavy traffic or high speed/rpm will give low mileage & light foot low speed will be better high mileage. That's a period. Btw, many other brands have worse mileage than Kiger so don't feel kiger not getting good mileage.

Mujhe kuch batein bilkul pasand nahi hai... yeh 72 ps power bohot kam lagata hai... race dete hi aise lagata hai bohot jaan laga rahi hai.... aur yara highway pe hilti bohot hai... back shockers bhi cheap lagate hai... bohot dabti hai piche se.... yeh chije na hoti toh gadi toh ek number hai... aur mere pass kiger rxz manual naturally aspirated wala 2022 model hai... aur baki sab badhiya hai...

Agreed about power.. thode aur 10-20 bhp power deti toh would have been great.. par budget dekh ke thik thak hi lagta hain when you think about it.. waise bhi.. city mein hi zyada chalana hain.. itna traffic hoti hain ajkal kaha power use kare 😀

Any tata cars there is a long waiting period at the moment plus punch too has its cons.. but safety n all is good. Kiger too has a good safety rating but has its fair share of cons. You need to check out the review of punch & compare with kiger & make a choice. Also you need to test drive both the cars to make your decision 👍🏻
