Also he's a great story teller. If you want to hear something that will make you think about life for days, watch Hi Ren and Sick Boi.

You are at the tip of the iceberg. This dude can do anything. I mean anything. There's natural talent, then there's this guy.

Ren is fantastic. Singer, rapper, producer, instrumentalist, poet, all of it. Losing It (Fisher retake) will likely hype you up, though Hi Ren and The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full) really illuminate the scale of his talent. Posts in his community section have a lot of context to the life circumstances underpinning his work. I love watching people discover Ren.

He's bardcore. He does it all; song-writing, rapping, guitar, piano, drums, beats. He sings like an angel, plays amazing busking sessions that include reggae, pop, rock and rhythm and blues. He's not a monster but he has monstrous talent! ;) x

This is your first Ren song? Hmm which one to recommend next?! Genesis and Power are both rap/hip hop. The tales of Jenny and Screech (full 13 minute version) is a must. Hi Ren will be like nothing you've ever heard before. He is from the UK and produces his own music as an independent. Writes, raps, plays guitar, beat boxes, sings, spoken word... he does it all

And piano, bass, and I think even cello. Or as I think he put it himself: “anything I can make sounds with” 😅 Multitalented genius.

This was a live rap performance btw, done in a single take, no edits. Most of his videos are done this way. In the non-rap ones he also provides the live music too. Usually on on acoustic or electric guitar, or piano/keyboard. He's an extremely talented multi-instrumentalist, playing 7 different instruments to a ridiculously high level. He lays down all his own music/beats, producing all of his own material. He beatboxes too and has an incredible voice, capable of multiple styles and tones. His songwriting skills are world-class and his lyricism is out of this world! His performance skills are fantastic too. I've been going through his back catalogue over the past few months and have yet to encounter a bad track. A dozen, at least, are bona fide masterpieces! He covers multiple styles and genres and even has a subgenre all of his own, 'bardcore'! :) That he does all this, whilst suffering from severely debilitating and incurable, chronic illnesses, is just remarkable! He's currently in Canada, undergoing experimental treatments, to try to repair some of the damage to his body and brain. So, fingers crossed that it goes well. He can only create whilst in pockets of 'relative' health atm. and he's already storming the barricades. Even a partially healthy Ren would take over the (music) World! :)

Glad you enjoyed this. I found him when looking for new music, and it is a rabbit hole I am definitely glad I found! This is pure fun, skillz and fire 🔥🔥🔥 He doesn't miss. Try Losing It, What You Want, Money Game part 1&2 and many more. Ren does it all. His history is devastating though. His medical condition has been misdiagnosed for years and years. The doctors told him it was all in his mind and gave him pills for bipolar disorder when he had in fact a undiagnosed Lyme disease
