This was catchy as all get out. I like the reggae feel of “🎵murderer 🎵“ and the characteristic vibrato in his voice that he pushes at the end of phrases. Lyrics are clever, mostly flexing lines. Not sure where he is headed with the second verse, the part where he breaks the 4th wall and says these are not metaphorical bullets. I get the feeling subsequent songs will build on this and it will become more clear. Or he might do a live/acoustic version that will put a different spin on it.

You should check out the acoustic version if you haven’t already, the guy they kidnapped is the one tied up in Animal Flow. The chorus is an homage to Barrington Levy’s Murderer from 1993 🖤 Most of RENs work is music rather than the bard style, some have some sad lyrics etc but don’t need to panic every time you play one 😂🖤 P.S. I now have a huge personalised Toblerone that says “Tobleren - eat it like a toblerone B” 😂 they wouldn’t let me swear on it lmaooo.

My mental image of a toblerone is forever tarnished lol..and Ren actually looks like he could whoop someones as..I didn't realize he was built like a brickhouse. And the last lesson learned here is you can get chloriformed in Brighton in broad daylight

The title of the song and context of the videos content was a social experiment to test a theory Ren had, He made an Instagram post a while back querying why the word Suicide gets censored by KZread but worse words are used and don't, so cue this song too prove his theory, I'd say Ren has proven his point with Murderer

If you need a break you can instead just do some of the others like this- the hiphop stuff or the early songs - big push, busking etc :) As long as you know which are the hard hitters you can avoid doing them too close together. I'd say For Joe, Suicide, and crutch are probably the big ones left. But you should still do them eventually.
