I watched the Knox & Sam interview and Sam said that they had to set up the pianist with inner ears so that he could hear Ren and follow the ques for the tempo changes because it got harder to hear Ren as the song progressed, especially considering how big the warehouse was. To the point where we accept (and love) Ren is his own undefinable genre that not a single reactor Knox, BP, Clff your goodself...who I all watch and respect never metioned the fact this is a musical. We just accept that it's Ren and listen. First thing I thought after being intoduced to Ren, like so many, through Hi Ren when it first came out, was how long before Lin-Manuel Miranda comes knocking on his door to work withn him.

Love your reaction and analysis as always. As a bonus I even got a lesson in chest bass and beat boxing. Man I love watching different reactors. So glad that I found your channel (and your music - great stuff too). Have a great weekend!

Here is what I said on the official video comments section: I am reflecting simply of the those already stated: a masterpiece of a man reborn to a status and level only obtained by those clearly enticed and embraced by the divine. He will show the world that the music has called, calling, caller to all. Forever a man who speaks to his soul. Forever a man who cannot take without love. We will be forever in his debt and never again shall we question that the game is most impressed.

I think the "Mine ,mine give me" yes from the beginning to ending where it repulses him to hear those words, is a fine example of the state of being & that's nurture to nature.🌹🌹 Give this guy his roses ..brilliant . Superb on how he executes so very well his point of meaning.👍of course thanks to Anthony for presenting. Always a joy to me.😊

Lol what's so funny to me is I just stated my comment and as I'm still listening to the second playing, you then touch on how he mentions the father and influence on a person when having their own experiences and the influence it has which is basically my same thought. Seems we are in sync in mind somewhat lol maybe it goes to how well a point Ren gets across and our logics & awareness and perspectives the same. The unison is sweeeet.😊😊

Hahha I thought the same thing re Knox. He said he was there for the rehearsal and that he played the part of the lady serving drinks from the tray. This video is truly epic. Oh and it is a one take. Loved your reaction:)

Just imagine this is all ONE TAKE too.... The fact he uses the camera behind the chair so they can move his mic away from his shoulder and hide it in waterproof plastic underneath his tie, just to prepare for the rain scene. So much respect for Ren and Sam for making these.

Hey Anthony, I'm not sure if anyone answered for you, but Ren confirmed that there was at least one cut. It's at the point that the camera moves around the wheelchair. He mentioned on his Twitch stream that it was primarily due to the water. They would have lost all the footage from the shot they liked if there was a problem with the water flow. Rather than taking the chance of losing the first part, they cut it at the transition and set up that transition as another scene. There is also a short around of the making of this. If you find it, Bo is the man showing off his muscles, carrying around that huge camera arm. It has a spinning camera at the end. Knox did an interview with Samuel Perry-Falvey, where they shared some of the behind-the-scenes details.

Great reaction as always, just love the analytics guys like you and Knox does, btw the person taking over on the piano wasn't Knox lol, but he was apparently a bit involved in some of the video ideas. If you check in the description it shows the name of the Second Pianist: Charlie Woof-Bryne, but the first part is played by Ren himself of course

Knox Hill was there during rehearsals and pre-shoots, he shows some of the behind the scenes stuff that happened and how everything was rigged, including the Camera setup that Sam was using to shoot this video.
