You can use Syscon (or PS3 tool if it does manage to boot) to diagnose the fault. 1002 or 3004 are the most common and relate to the caps. I agree it’s not always the problem but if I had to guess that would be it. I still think checking error codes first is a must

@@EverythingPSPOfficial thank god i jailbroke my ps3 i was able to dump my syscon log to my flash drive and it said error 1002 looked it up and it indicates nec tokin failure since it still turns on was able to get the log pulled

@@thetwotones232 yeah same for my slim it took like 50 tries but I finally got it to boot and got the same codes, you can get repair kits online that make it a bit easier, I’ll be trying it on my channel when my kit arrives

@@EverythingPSPOfficial nice I was thinking about taking it to a shop to have it done as I don’t want to mess it up but it seems like a easy enough repair I’ll keep an eye on your channel see how it’s done and results
