It was super easy and best of all - it worked like a charm. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you

Titanium screw? I find that a curious choice of metal for a screw, since it is so hard to work with, expensive, and doesn't save much weight (a big reason for using Ti instead of steel alloys). It would, though, be strong and never rust. Can you please tell me where it was on the bike? Thanks.

I had a similar thing happen just yesterday. I was using a hex wrench with a ball end. The ball broke off in the set screw. It took a while and was extremely frustrating but I was finally able to get out the ball piece by cleaning out all shavings and debris in there, making sure it was loose and wiggling around, then I took a pick up tool with a strong magnet on the end, stuck a 1/4” hex bit to it that was one size smaller than the ball so I could get as much surface area of the end of the bit to transfer the magnetic pull to the ball piece and it came right out! Now I'm here watching videos still trying to figure out how to get the damned set screw out! LoL I already knew about the trick he showed in this video and when I tried it, all I did was reem out the already striped hex socket that much more! I've been at this damn set screw for about an hour a day for 4 days now! Been Soaking it in penetrating oil over night for a week... STUPID KIDDIE RIDE! UGH! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ ...LOL

If you have some allen head screws that you have a high chance that you will have to remove and they are pretty susceptible to stripping, it would be a good idea to put a little dab of anti-seize compound on the threads before reinstalling. A torque screwdriver would also be a good idea, so that you know it's tight enough but not too tight.

Omg, this works! I'm not good with tools, and was just changing the easywheels on my folding bike when i realized that the bolt on one of them was rounded (probably because I reused an old wheel to temporarily replace one that broke, hence the need to change). I tried different methods suggested by those professional-looking videos, including using super glue with a sacrificial key. I was getting seriously depressed until I tried this and it works! Thanks a million!

I think Allen screws need to all be changed out with torx screws. The torx screw is vastly more efficient than an Allen pattern. Although to be fair, a large percentage of the time that they strip out, is due to someone using a poor fitting Allen wrench, or over torquing, or even failing to insure that the Allen wrench is properly seated. On torx screws that are stubborn I've had good luck by putting it in there and tapping it with a hammer to really seat it well and help loosen the threads.
