remnant 2 is a FAILURE of an RPG (review)

Ойындар

Remnant 2 is very bad good game.
In this remnant 2 review, I will not be telling you how to get the archon class and I will ALSO not tell you what the corrupted door leads to. AND I WILL ALSO NOT tell you where the engineer class is and I WILL ALSO not tell you where the ninja class is AND I WILL ALSO no tell you where the chicago typwriter is in remnant 2 NOR WILL I TELL YOU where the remnant 2 grenade launcher is. BECAUSE IF I TOLD YOU ALL THAT, I would have to tell you how to get the gunslinger class in remnant 2.
God I'm good at this.

The final base game class of Remnant II has been discovered. Turns out you need to wear an insanely obscure parade of nonsense gear in just the right way to unlock a door that leads to the backrooms. And the only way we found this out was because the devs left some cryptic serial killer bread crumbs in the game code for dataminers to find. Not a joke.

@@GnarlyGuns In Elden Ring, enemies don't take longer to kill because you upgraded equipment. And you can go back to areas to try out newer weapons. Whenever you generate a map for the first time, everything on that map will scale to whatever your power level is, or the area's minimum power level. Whichever is higher. The final boss's minimum is at a power level of I believe 14....which is what your power level would be with 1 maxed weapon, nothing else upgraded, and 0 archetype levels....which is impossible. Enemy HP growth from enemy upscaling is also overtuned so that things will take longer to kill when upscaled than they would if you just stayed at the area's minimum power level. Also because of how it works, if you reroll your campaign, *you can never test a weapon without investing upgrade materials in it first*

That single still frame complaining about the trait system is honestly the most accurate part of the review. TBH I really like the "secrets," feels like being back in high school sharing really obscure video game bullshit with my friends, especially cuz me and my boys are all good puzzle solvers. But Fleek is absolutely 100% on point about the game's current progression being fucked beyond belief, the devs really need to make a balance pass at the game to encourage more build variety because at the moment after you beat the game all your follow-up playthroughs immediately jack up to "Dante Must Die" mode regardless of difficulty. (For reference I've already played for 40 hours, I fucking love this game and don't agree with everything Fleek says. Just saying it could be better.)

EVERY BUILD has to be dual class to be viable. Too much dependant on rings also NOT ENOUGH FUKKIN FINGERS. We got 10 fucking fingers you telling me I can only index and middle finger on each hand??? The entire armor system is almost pointless, minor stats change as long as your builds n the rest is solid. They could have done so much with armor, poise, yes sir. Also, gotta have armor with special effects, perks, straits going with it. Like the first game. Even, give some OP as armor that goes with crazy penalties like NO RING YOU have armored gloves. For the finger argument, thumbs are usually too thick to put on or take off rings [with ease (depends on the person)] and the pinky is usually too thin. A ring on the Index finger is most likely gonna cause issues when pulling a trigger. So yeah, middle and ring fingers are the 2 most viable options for rings in gun combat. But it is nice that we can have 2 rings on both hands for once. Then again the rings are mostly absolute a** anyways. And I do agree with you on the maps complaint. If shooting a rat and waiting an hour for water to fill a space is "thinking" to you, then you might just be pretentious. The trouble with this is that its obtuse and the rewards rarely match the time spend on random experiments. People have lives and there are hundreds of excellent games to play. Fleek could be more intelligent and thoughtful that you, but simply doesn't want to waste the same amount of time on vague design. A good game dev knows how to subtly signpost and reward the player in a timely and satisfying manner. There's really nothing intellectually rigorous about obfuscation, but many people like yourself mistake water muddying for depth.

@matsimurf_5900 It's a slug blocking a pipe, and as soon as you kill the slug, water starts pouring out of the pipe. An hour and a half is a bit much, but it's not hard to figure out if you think a bit. Would have liked the wait to be shorter, but as soon as you kill the slug all that needs to happen is an hour and a half needs to pass. You can continue playing the campaign or adventure or even just close the game for an hour and a half. Again, an hour and a half is a bit much, but it's not hard to figure out that there's probably a secret there if you think.

This video was funny. Well done on providing a different take than many others and doing it in an amusing way. Personally, I generally enjoyed the game (in-between bouts of fist clenching frustration) but the way the level always scale to be equal or better than your character means you never really get to feel like you're getting stronger. I actually got killed more often in the later part of the game as the enemy kept hitting harder and harder while our ability to take damage don't really keep up.

I tried doing the exploring part but I swear every passage or door I come across is blocked off or needs a key. An rpg is you kill enemies find new gear equip it if it’s better than your current gear then move on. I’ve had the same weapons the whole time and I don’t like them. When I first heard about it, it was getting so much praise but when I learned that a class that looked great that was MADE FOR THE GAME was locked behind some fucking code, I immediately lost interest. Makes zero damn sense. Only played it for 4 hours and I’m sick of it already

Yup. I finally tried the game with friends now that it came to Game Pass. To keep things short, we feel gaslighted by everyone sucking the d*ck of the game, pretending is the best thing ever. The classes are boring, the progression is almost non existent, half the bosses we've encountered are normal mobs with more HP and 1-2 mechanics, literally the best boss by a country mile was that dude that dropped giant swords in the arena. Felt like the blew their whole budget on that as all the other bosses were from mid to sh*t. Traits are boring af. Despise doing every single puzzle we've come across, we have found 0 armor, 3 weapons and a million fkn rings. Of which more than half are awful. I dunno on what drugs was everyone when praising the ever living thing of this game. Specially calling it a "One of the best souls like looter shooter". Having bosses doesn't make it a souls like, I feel like calling this "Souls Like" is an insult to actual Souls like games, and the looting aspects is the most boring and lame I've come across in the genre. Oh how fun it is to be using the same weapon and armor from the start, as to use anything else you need to waste tons of materials and scrap to upgrade for them to be usable. Exactly what I like in looter shooters, barely getting loot and when I get some, not being able to use it without grinding. 10/10 /s

Considering he became a Pyromaniac from what I see he missed one of the Pyro abilities that I find absolutely insane. Fire storm from killing the Red Prince.

Since I played Warframe I'm used to a game where I need like 5 wiki tabs to know where/what I'm supposed to do to get something, but man does it blow cock to not only do that to figure out how to get a funny gun but I also have to play the NRG game of whether I even got that area to spawn or not after running around the region for a couple hours and discovered every dungeon. 10/10 still love playing this game though.

Based. Everybody says this game is amazing, but Fleek always keeping it real- no body mentioned shit about needing to summon a deadric demon, sell your soul, and then fight for 42 consecutive years to get it back, just to unlock a new glock. But Fleek- he's always telling it like it is.

I remember finding a bunch of fun and different guns in Remnant 1 just by bumping into them. But Remnant 2 really keeps them out of your hands if you don't go checking for some corners with a magnifying glass.

To be fair, there were some requirements that needed to be fulfilled in order to get the gear and you could not get all of it in a single playthrough (talking about the first game). Of the top of my head, the Undying King and the Butcher (you get different perk depending if you fight him on the top or sneak and wait in the jar for him at the bottom level). I love the chase so I found that part really fun, especially since a bunch of my friends have it on epic (all of us got it for free) and we split into teams and switch from time to time... That being said, I understand that everyone has their own tastes. Did not get the chance to play the second one so I can't talk about it, all I know is I am getting a doggy (I like to play support classes)!

He has a great point about the prologue/ tutorial part of the game, it’s hands down the worse aspect of Remnant 2.
