I was 5, 6 years old maybe when I first heard "The gambler" .. I don't know what it was about it, I didn't sprak or understood English back then, but became one of my favorite songs for life. Kenny on of my favorite singers for life. Thank you, you will always be part of my life. Rest in Peace

I so loved this man. He reminded me of my dad...my dad actually sang his songs often. His mannerisms were very similar...I lost my dad on February 14, 2014 (at the age of 81, ironically) and now Kenny. Had all of his music...loved his music...from 1979 to today...Rest in Peace Mr. Kenny.

He’s the only reason how I got into country music. Love his awesome voice for ever.

I first met Kenny when I was right out of high school in Houston Texas where both of us were born. We met in a little beer joint on West Gray street on the East edge of what's called the Montrose part of town. He had a warm wonderful personality that made me feel like we'd been friends for years, even though we had just met. I followed his early career in Houston when he was part of the Bobby Doyle trio. At that time he was singing mostly Jazz. He played bass and jobbed around town. I even worked a couple of jobs that he played. None of his friends at that time could have ever imagined the fame that was coming for him. I suspect when it did come even Kenny was amazed just how far up the ladder of success he traveled. It was well deserved. He loved music as much as anyone I've ever known. God bless you, Kenny. You'll be missed. Ned Battista.

You know an artist is special when they sing songs geared toward adults and you love those songs from the age of 8 into your adult years. *"We've Got Tonight"* will always be my favorite; the kind of song you frequently find yourself humming for no reason.

My mom would play his songs when i was a little girl and I would dance to it she would play it when I would cry in my crib he will be miss so much rest in peace Kenny Rogers.

Such an amazing man. I am grateful to have made it to his last tour in Texas.
