Watched this earlier, such a beautiful documentary for a truly wonderful man, he is one of my favorite actors. I wish i could have met him, shook his hand and just told him how much he meant to me growing up watching Willy Wonka, the ending of this doc broke me seeing pretty much the last footage of Gene before he passed especially when Over The Rainbow started playing 😭

you're missing out! Gene has done so many amazing roles besides Wonka, i'd highly recommend Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Stir Crazy, See No Evil Hear No Evil, they are some of my favorites along with Wonka

heh, I really liked the guy too... uh, are they using AI to simulate him talking? why is this guy narrating his own documentary after he's dead? that's like puppeteering a corpse yo. I genuinely feel like vomiting. I just wanted to enjoy a documentary about Gene Wilder and now I'm utterly disgusted.

No AI was used for his voice. The narration comes from his audio book that he narrated himself when he was alive.
