He was the best. What a legend. I watched the OG trilogy hundreds of times. The monster movie sub genre is my favorite but it's so rare to find great films in it. Tremors is one of the all time greats and Fred Ward was such an important piece of it

His portrayal of Earl really did make these movies what they are. Shoot, the 2nd Tremors movie would have probably been around the level of all the follow ups if not for him.

Tremors is my favorite movie, and Fred Ward definitely completed it with his portrayal of Earl.

Sucks that we lost another legend, but atleast he’s resting now

Just found this some days after it's upload. Thanks for doing it. I was saddens the day I read about his passing. I remember watching the movies a bunch growing up. I've seen all of them especially the original trilogy multiple times. Fred Ward was someone I loved seeing and he helped make the second film my favorite of the series. He just left such a lasting positive impression and good memories through his time as Earl, maybe because he reminded me of my father. Fred Ward was always the name that came to mind when it came to the Tremors franchise along with Michael Gross of course. I wish I could have shaken his hand and thanked him for helping bring me as well as many others a lot of joy with the two films he was in and helping Tremors continue. May he rest in peace knowing he brought happiness to many.

This was my very first memory of him too. He was a big part of my youth growing up I watched so many of his movies and I will miss him greatly.

I know Michael Gross as Burt Gummer was the standout character of the franchise, but Fred Ward as Earl Bassett was equally awesome and just as much a legend as Burt Gummer. I was really hoping we would see him in another Tremors movie again, but now that's an impossibility.
