My only issue with this is the line "they don't plan, they don't strategise, they just kill", but in the film they did plan and strategise, they dug a pit in the path of the CAT so it would fall and leave them stuck, after it happens Kevin bacon's character even says "they dug a trap"

Well the writers seemed to want to go in a different direction and this could've been a retcon. Maybe rewriting that Stumpy was just special because this series was supposed to be a direct sequel to the first movie, ignoring the rest that came afterwards. Pretty dumb in my opinion. It's starting to annoy me how often writers decide to just ignore previous works simply because they don't want to follow continuity or want to try something that doesn't fit in the established lore. Even though with this franchise they can try something new and chalk it up to evolution or different variant at this point. It's the one thing that makes me a little glad it was cancelled. Just little because despite it all this trailer looks fucking amazing and they did seem to capture what the originals did very well between the mix of horror and comedy.

@@leoncoben6983 I did like the trailer, but I also really enjoyed the sequels, even the TV series. I dunno how I really feel about them ignoring the sequels since it never happened, was awesome to see Kevin bacon back in perfection but honestly in the tremors series I don't think he was the star.

Valentine was my favourite character from Tremors and it would have been awesome to see Kevin Bacon play him again

Tremors without Burt Gummer is like Disneyland without Mickey. This series was never a Kevin Bacom series, it belongs to Michael Gross

I’m incredibly Sad that this got cancelled, it looked great! And it seemed like it would be kinda like a western, but it literally got cancelled! And Kevin bacon looked amazing in it! Why… just why??????? It looked awesome and fun! Like why!? Hopefully either Netflix, Hulu or Other Streaming service picks it up and continues filming all of the episodes, if they’re all already finished before it got cancelled, I still have hope!

This trailer looked like regular old straight to video mess. The director couldn't even bother to remember that the graboids DO think and strategize, and Kevin Bacon's character "Valentine" even mentioned it directly when they dug a trap for the CAT to fall into. The car, in this trailer, poking out of the ground looks completely ridiculous how it's coming out of the ground. Don't be fooled into what's great just because a favorite actor shows up in the trailers. This seems like it was just gonna do the same old thing over again.

Kevin Bacon you missed out on a lot. There were shriekers, ass blasters, grabbers, graboids that swim, graboids in the snow, and Burt was something else. He shot a shrieker with a very long name gun, he used a f*cking turret against a bunch others, he got SWALLOWED by a graboid, he killed a graboid queen, and even used a f*cking flamethrower. Heck, he even had a son that he didn't know about (we don't talk about him).

Likely because when it first dropped people didn’t like how it looked, the graboids look nothing like how the old let alone the newer ones looked and they basically were gonna reboot the series which fans didn’t like so they just canceled it I’m pretty sure.

Something that sadly never happened

This looks fantastic and I really hope they take it to another network. It's been 5 years but it could still happen. 2 things for me is the whole they don't plan, they don't strategize thing and that it doesn't seem to acknowledge the other films. Maybe not all of them but some, like p2 with the late Fred Ward (Earl) and Michael Gross (Burt).

“I’ve been through all this before.” That gave me chills. Also, “Stop Talking.” Creepy!

Looked banging! Just hoped they would keep the original worm design.

Would have been a 10x better trailer if they used practical effects. Thats why the first one is timeless

For some reason everytime I heard about Dune and recently Dune 2 I always thought people were talking about Tremors. I saw Tremors as a kid and loved it, but always thought it was called Dune for some reason. Anyway I got really excited seeing this trailer, but now I'm sad to find out it never aired. This could have been a hit!

I honestly think the reason they cancelled it is because it was coming out around the same time as bloodlines or cold day in hell and the timeline wouldve conflicted in one of the sequels and wouldnt have made sense, that or i remember reading that he and rhonda moved far away from perfection so why would he be back? mainly it comes down to this is either a direct sequel show from the first film, a retcon, or time line mistake is why it was cancelled

Once I saw how bad the new worms looked I knew it probably wouldn't last.

Ok, it was supposed to be a TV series and it wasn't made but the pilot exists and has been converted into a simple TV movie; Can anyone tell me if the SyFy Channel has ever broadcast this TV movie or are they stupidly keeping it closed in a drawer gathering dust in vain? After all, even if it's just a TV movie, we TREMORS fans would be interested in seeing it.

On IMDB - furthermore - it is credited as a TV movie!

I saw the pilot at a TV fest and the actors script read the parts that weren't filmed, it was pretty cool, sad it wasn't picked up.

The idea of this seemed interesting and I would have loved having Val back, but I wouldn’t have wanted to watch a new series that just ignored everything that happened with Tremors after the first movie. Regardless of how silly the movies and tv show got, it all happened and I wouldn’t have wanted a new series to ignore that.

seems to be, it sounds like it's a total retcon as it makes no references to events that came after and even claims they were never seen again. just a shame we'll never find out as this pilot episode will likely never get shown

@@synaesthesia2010 rewatching the trailer, I think it is a new timeline, 2 mentions that Val is married to Rhonda and in 6 we meet their daughter, plus 6 also show us that Perfection is a ghost town with only Burt remaining

slipped me by, they should have made a bigger marketing for the pilot and it would have been picked up im sure. There's a ton of ppl who thinks that Tremors was the best movie ever made so passing it up when Kevin is attached was dumb. too bad.
