I’ve seen this shorts and I can certainly tell you that as a kid I wouldn’t have watched the show if it stayed like this. (Kids are the main target audience) This is too boring? Now as an adult yes I’d like to watch it in this style, but you can’t expect most kids from the era to like it

@@user-10021 how is it boring? It has the same energy, down to the t. Cosmo and Wanda are still very funny and entertaining, without being annoying. This is the content kids should get, not some mindless noise that the series unfortunately devolved into later on

@@user-10021 I would’ve watched this as a kid but I can see why they changed it up, cartoons nowadays the stupider the characters are the more it appeals to kids like teen titan go, the scooby do reboot.

Honestly I love everyone’s voice here, they sound a lot less annoying than the final voices

That’s what gave Cosmo a certain charm, though. It might just be because I grew up on post-OYC Fairly Oddparents, but it made more sense to have Cosmo’s final voice be that way

Honestly that’s every show in the beginning. Look at spongebob

I wonder what out of touch executive decided that Timmy’s dad having double digit IQ wasn’t enough we also needed Cosmo (and a ton of adults from the show) to be the exact same way. Or maybe it was Butch Hartman himself.

I miss Cosmo and Wanda actually loving each other and just being fun and goofy. Instead of one naggy and negative and the other being so stupid that it's unbearable.

Anyway I love cosmo, but I like this one very much (never actually seens these old episodes!), specially because they seem more in love with Wanda. And his voice is so smooth.

"Let's see what the rule book says. It says here that it's optional." [in unison] "So yes! As a matter of fact, we do!" That's just precious.

Yeah those are definitely relationship goals. I'm kinda sad they decided to go for the stereotypical married couple dynamics, it's kinda boring... (dumb husband, logical wife, don't even know why she married him in the first place)

I remember someone describing Cosmo as a "Used Car Salesman" once. It's weird to see how his character evolved into just "The dumb one" Similar thing happened with Patrick Star in SpongeBob. Patrick wasn't just an idiot, he was an idiot who thought he was a genius, so he was always the one characters went to for advice. Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean wasn't an idiot either, he was a genius pretending to be an idiot to lower people's guard. It seems like for some reason, all these characters just evolved into "The stupid one"

Patrick also was just the sweetest albeit sometimes misguided, he used to care a lot and TRY to help he just wasn't good at it. now he feels GENUINELY malicious and antagonistic. ouuugghhh I could write a THESIS on how much the flanderization of Spongebob characters infuriates me. (specifically I am talking about the latest spongebob I saw, it seems the last few seasons have been a little better?? but idk I haven't seen them)

I kinda love this version of the show Cosmo isn't completely stupid, it's more mature but too confident, making him taking bad decisions Wanda isn't so strict, she likes to play around with his husband and Timmy Vicky wasn't a total maniac, she's just a teenager being a bit mean towards a kid Everyone feels more deep as a character and not so one dimentional

With how overly flanderized the other characters got, I'm shuddering to think how they would've messed up THIS Cosmo. Probably made him so egotistical that it ends up putting everyone else in harm's way all the time

The love between Cosmo and Wanda seems so much more genuine here

If he had this personality with his season 1 voice it would be perfect

Honestly this Cosmo was way better than the one we got in later seasons

It also seems like Wanda and Cosmo actually like each other. The dumber Cosmo got the more Wanda seemed to hate Cosmo. And Cosmo also became a lot meaner to Wanda.

The idea of Cosmo being a quick witted car salesman is one that interests me. I wish I was never changed to the -1247 IQ Cosmo we have now.

I'll always love this version of cosmo. But I still think one of the best lines ever written in TV history is attorny cosmo saying "I'd like to make a motion."

The relationships used to feel so much happier/beneficial in a way. These scenes made C&W feel like a young couple doing a job for a boy while enjoying themselves along the way. You rarely see them just having fun in later episodes. They're usually just there to be new pink and green objects for Timmy's setting.

It was cute how Cosmo and Wanda used to flirt intermittenly with one another. That was/is so unusual to see in a comedy show. The "silver age" of this show still made sure to remind the audience that they were in love, but any/all affection was relegated to episodes _about_ their relationship. ...and of course in later seasons, writers just disreguarded any concept of love/respect as Hartmen filled every comedy gap with his patented cynicism and repeat gags. Kinda depressingly uncanny how the digression of their relationship parallels IRL marriage. From constantly flirty, to occasionally romantic, to indifference at best.

Am i the only one who loves the relationship of Cosmo and Wanda here?. Idk,i feel they have more chemistry here than in all those seasons,they genuinely love each other,while yes, in the series they love each other but on more than one occasion Cosmo makes jokes about their marriage, as if he regretted it. (Edit: Wanda sometimes does this too,i forgot lol) Although yes, they have been married for centuries and anyone could get tired or bored of their couple, but I like that here, that love looks as if it were the first time they are together.

I feel back then we was all smarter.

It’s honestly really cute seeing Cosmo and Wanda love each other

Vicky actually somewhat taking care of Timmy Cosmo & Wanda having a duality of occasional comedic stupidity. Timmy acting his age with a bit more common sense This version was so much better

@@uglyrobot1975 Oh no we agreed that his old voice was better. Just it's the same voice actor. (For the pilot episodes and the Main series.) The actor just changed the voice/pitch for the actual series. And the creative team changed Cosmo's personality and lowered his intelligence.

Honestly the same thing happened with Cat in Victorious. The first 2(?) seasons when her voice wasn't horribly high and instead of being a complete air-head was just a bit stupid was peak Valentine.

Makes sense why Vicky went insane, stuff kept popping into existence around her and she had no idea how or why lol

Man, I love the voice for cosmos in the earlier series and the fact that he wasn't full on brain dead.

If this version stayed maybe it would've saved Nick toons

I've watched all three parts and I gotta say, not only do I prefer this version of Cosmo so much more than even early FOP Cosmo, but, I also love his voice so much more here. And Wanda's. And Timmy's too! Why'd they have to change all of that? They were great as they were! And this is someone who loved FOP back when it was actually GOOD. Although I never hated Cosmo's S1 voice tbh. I think a great middle ground would have been this personality with his S1 voice.

Hmmm, the good age of FOP. A simpler time, a funnier time. These episodes back then, were way better than the new episodes and changes in personality that came later on in the series. I really do like the dynamic between Cosmo and Wanda, it was wholesome, in a geeky couple kind of way, and special too, before Wanda became a gag by getting hurt or injured by Cosmo's stupidity.

They need to make a special episode about Cosmo explaining why is he so dumb. (I know he's dumb to make us laugh) but maybe they can come up with something like someone made him dumb or he did something to himself with his wand.
