Remember to Enable Local Network in MixEffect Settings

Having difficult connecting MixEffect to your ATEM switcher when you know the two devices are on the same network and can see each other? Make sure that Local Network is enabled in the iOS or iPadOS Settings pane for MixEffect or MixEffect Pro.
- Open Settings
- Scroll down to either MixEffect or MixEffect Pro
- Enable Local Network

Great tip Adam. I’m using MixEffect Pro on my Mac Mini with M1 chip with great success. Love your App. (said by a former iOS developer) 😀
Hi Adam, just bought a Streamdeck and will purchase Mixeffect Pro now. I will work on multiple Atems but never at the same time. Do you recommend, for a new user like me, to start immediately with the Companion beta 3.0 or even experimental 3.1 version? So I don’t have to make all kind of existing presets again later? Looking forward to experiment with the ME and SD. Thanks!

Start on 3.0. I have been testing the module on that instead of the experimental version.
Hi Adam, I have question , If I use ATEM 2 M/E Constellation HD and can use M/E 2 ( picture in Picture like Var check on football), I can use Laptop with MixEffect for control right? . I used control panel from china . Do you recommend for new user. Thanks!

Picture in Picture would happen using the Remote Webview feature of MixEffect (look in the documentation at docs.mixeffect.app/configure/remote-webview You can use a Mac that has an Apple Silicon processor (M1, M2, etc.) to run MixEffect or an iPhone or iPad running iOS 15 and higher. The remote Webview feature may not work on macOS at the moment. Control panel from China would only control the Atem directly, not MixEffect.
